Stonemen Colts Low-Rise Trunk: a Men’s Underwear Review
I wrote my first review of Stonemen about 2 years ago and loved them then. Today, I’m excited to write the review on Stonemen’s latest – the Colt Low-Rise Trunk!
Fit: The Colt Low-Rise Trunk fit me very well. Last time I tried Stonemen, I wore a large. With the change in fabrics (see below) I found the medium to be absolutely the right size (their size charts are accurate). As a 34″, I often fall between a medium and large. The over fit of the low-rise trunk was wonderful. As a trunk style, you have full seat coverage for all day comfort. The trunk has a traditional flat front (no ergonomic pouch). Because of the fabric used and the cut of the trunk, my package was very comfortable and well supported. As a low-rise, these sit at your hips for a comfortable fit and allows you to wear under jeans and lower-cut pants. All around, I found these very comfortable.
Style: One of the things I love most about Stonemen is their use of digitally printed illustrations. The colors are always strong and the illustrations unique. The Colt line (available as a trunk or boxer-brief) is their Western illustration with graphic Western Colt pistols at your side, along with other Western insignia. As a low-rise, along with the playful Colt illustration, I found these to be a fun and playfully sexy pair of underwear. Sitting lower on your hips and short, trunk legs with your packaging hanging at the same level creates a great look – enough to have someone grabbing for your pistol.
Fabric: The fabric used this time around is a lighter weight fabric than used in the past. Made from a quality blend of cotton and 5% Spandex, the new material is perfect for any season, forms to your body well, and provides a wonderful soft cottony feel. I’m really, really quite pleased with the modifications made to their cotton-blend material!
Quality: Again, I found these to be very well made. The stitching and piping are all well done. In addition, I washed these quite a few times to see how the color would hold up (sometimes a downside of digital illustrations on fabric). I’m please to report that these held up very well. I can also report that the pair I received nearly 2 years ago have also held their color very well. Kudos to Stonemen.
Overall, I love these new Stonemen Low-Rise Trunks and the fun, Western Colt collection. Stonemen are a premium brand and bring a price to match ($45 AUD / $47 USD). I can say, though, that you most definetly get what you pay for in both quality and uniqueness. Anyone can buy a pair of red, black or white underwear, but how many have Colt pistols strapped to their sides?

Bum-Chums Pink Peach Hip Brief: a Men’s Underwear Review
As we wrote a few weeks ago, Bum-Chums has really seemed to have gained some traction this past year with their new underwear collections. Bum-Chums recent release of the Tool Belt Brief and the In2Cooler Brief both brought awesome reviews. While these latest additions stoked the fire at Bum-Chums, some of their original collections are equally as good. Today’s review of the Pink Peach Hip Brief, from the Fruity Collection reminds us why we love Bum-Chums.
Fit: The hip brief was a very comfortable all-day pair of underwear. Bum-Chums really pulls it all together with material selection, pouch design, and the rear cut as well. The material used is soft and stretchy, allowing it to mold to your body, support your package and not restrict movement. The pouch is well sized for any size package and allows things to fit comfortably and non-binding. In the rear, Bum-Chums prides themselves in their bum-cupping cut which fully covers your butt while giving your cheeks a bit of lift for a nice round posterior.
Style: The hip brief by itself would be fairly standard if it weren’t for the bum-cupping cut and the vibrant colors. The Pink Peach is part of the Fruity Collection, which includes Cherry, Blue-Berry, Lemon Lush, and Plum Purple too. All of these colors are bold, vibrant colors that really make these hip briefs stand out. What could have been a boring hip brief is now full of life!
Fabric: The Bum-Chums Pink Peach Hip Brief is made from a Nylon/Elastane/Lycra mix. The result is, as I stated above, a soft and stretchy material. I found the material to be very comfortable all around.
Quality: Overall, these are well made.
Overall, I really liked these hip briefs and can see them as a standard go-to brief when looking for all-day comfort. Kudos to Bum-Chums for such a comfortable brief.

TooT Fruit Short Boxer: a Men’s Underwear Review
Guest Review by Mark
Earlier this week Menswear Review reviewed the Toot Evening Dots boxer and gave it high marks. Today I have the please of reviewing another Toot boxer. I was surprised by the Toot Fruit Trunks by their design and fabric and comfort. The trunk has super stretchy full coverage in both front and back. The body of the trunk is nylon for a smooth and silky feel and there is a cotton panel between the front and rear.
Fit: The trunk offers full coverage. It rides below the natural waist. It is comfortable and supportive. The leg comes to the about upper-mid thigh. There is a cotton panel between the front pouch and rear for absorption and odor control – very nice!
Style: This is a typical short boxer fit. There is full coverage in the front and rear with sexy CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
Toot Marine Border Waistband Boxer: a Men’s Underwear Review
As you know, I’ve written about TOOT men’s underwear and how much I love this brand several times over this past year! Today’s review of TOOT continues my love of this brand! If you are new to TOOT, you should read my previous review where I give a bit of background on the brand and the multiple lines they make.
Fit: The Toot Marine Waistband Boxer was incredibly comfortable. The waistband used has a marine-striping to it, but is also a wider waistband than you’d typically find from Toot. This wide waistband provided great comfort for all-day wearing and didn’t roll once (as can happen with other brands). The pouch, as I seem to find with Toot, was also incredibly comfortable. Form-fitting for comfort and support is what you’ll find with the Toot pouch. I can honestly say that the Toot pouch is amongst the top 5 CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
2Xist Military Collection No Show Brief: a Men’s Underwear Review
You may recall the review we did on the 2Xist Military No Show Trunk a bit ago – which we loved! As I’ve said before, every time I try on a pair of 2(x)ist underwear I walk away quite pleased with my new discovery. Time and time again, I have found 2(x)ist to be an incredibly comfortable, stylish, and quality-made brand. My review of the Military No Show brief leaves me as a raving fan!
Fit: The No-Show Brief is a no-show, think lowrise, with what 2Xist calls an ultra-contoured pouch – which basically means and ergonomic pouch design to actually fit a man’s assets with a gentle lift and lots of support. I found the 2Xist Military No Show Brief to be amongst the most comfortable briefs I’ve tried. I love the ultra-pouch and love, love, love the full seat.
When a designer can give the sexiness of a lowrise and STILL give you full rear coverage, they’ve accomplished greatness in my book! Seriously, one of my biggest complaints on briefs is when they constantly ride up all day. I can say that I honestly didn’t have to readjust once – neither in the pouch or butt - during the entire day. I tried these briefs on CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
2Xist Military Range No-Show Trunk: a Men’s Underwear Review
Every time I try on a pair of 2(x)ist underwear I walk away quite pleased with my new discovery. Time and time again, I have found 2(x)ist to be an incredibly comfortable, stylish, and quality-made brand; my 2(x)ist reviews can attest to their awesomeness. Today’s review of the 2(x)ist Military Rang No-Show Trunk is no different.
Fit: The No-Show trunk is a lowrise trunk if both style and fit. As a lowrise, I often review these cautiously to ensure the lowrise doesn’t sacrifice comfort. To my pleasure, the no-show trunk fit incredibly well, sat just at my hips, and was quite comfortable. The no-show cut provides the ability to wear these under lower cut clothing (jeans, etc…) without the waistband showing – unless of course you’re 12 and your’re still in to that style! As a trunk, there is, of course, a full seat. In front was a very comfortable form-fitted pouch that gave me CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
Intymen Sport Brief: a Men’s Underwear Review
Having reviewed a few Intymen collections now, the Intymen Sport Brief is by far my favorite Intymen product. Now only does the Intymen Sport Brief fit incredibly well, it’s also sexy and super comfortable!
Fit: The fit of the Intymen Sport Brief is that of a skimpy lowrise bikini, without the skimpy lowrise bikini feel. While it’s labeled as a brief, I tend to see it as a bikini instead. The waistband, for example, is thin and elastic to keep the barely there look and feel. The material used is a sports mesh fabric that also aided in the overall comfort. The contour pouch holds your package nicely and gives it definition and support. In back I found a full seat that gives you all-day comfort. It’s actually hard to describe, but CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
Aqalogy Delphinium Brief: a Men’s Underwear Review
Guest Review by Mark
Our most recent review comes from Aqalogy. Aqalogy is one of the newest brands to hit the market (they just launched in 2011). Their passion was in creating high quality products made in the heart of Europe (Slovakia) and to relieve wearers of dull, boring clothing. Aqalogy’s focus is on creating playful designs in rich color. From our review, job well done! Today’s review is on the Aqalogy Delphinium Brief.
Fit: The brief has full coverage – almost trunk-like without covering any of the leg. The full-brief coverage really makes this an all-around comfortable brief. It has great support and forms to the body very nicely.
Style: This is a regular brief pair of underwear. There is enough coverage in both the front and rear to give you comfort while still maintaining an aesthetic look. The colors were CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
Candyman Mesh Brief: a Men’s Underwear Review
If you think Candyman only sold sexy men’s costumes, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find they carry a fantastic line of sexy daily underwear too! Candyman’s latest release not only includes new sexy costumes, but you’ll also find some hot boxer, trunks, thongs, and jocks.
Today’s review is going to be on the Candyman Mesh Brief (9610). I have to say that I was very pleased with what I found in the new brief. The mesh brief is a wide-mesh brief style that leaves very little to the imagination. While I really like the soft close-knit mesh I’ve come to love in many brands, there’s just something that gives the wide-mesh a raw sexy look!
Fit: The mesh brief is a full-fitting brief with ample room in the pouch and a full seat in back. The brief sat comfortably at my waist – neither too high or too low. The waistband was comfortable and didn’t dig in. From an overall comfort perspective, I don’t know that I could improve on any area.
Style: Extremely sexy. This is a macho, raw sexy look. The wide-mesh gives CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
McKillop Modal Pouch: a Men’s Underwear Review
Last week, I wrote about McKillop’s mesh 2.0 pouch – which I absolutely loved! Today’s review is on the same 2.0 pouch, but with their new modal material instead. Much what I’ll write mirrors my review on the 2.0 Mesh Pouch as the fit and quality is the same.
Fabric: The McKillop U/W Classic 2.0 Modal Pouch is finally here and am thrilled to be reviewing it. I have long been a fan of Modal for all of its incredible qualities – ultra soft, natural antimicrobal, and durable. The McKillop comes in a blend of 92% Modal and 8% spandex in your choice of white or black – I chose black. The use of CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
Mondetta Performance Gear (MPG) Match Jacket: a Men’s Clothing Review
Back in May, I shared a review of the Mondetta Performance Gear Practice Pant (which received an awesome score). Today, I’m please to provide a complimentary review to the practice pants – the Match Jacket!
When you read my review on the Mondetta Performance Gear Practice Pant, you’ll see that I found the perfect pant for comfort, quality and performance!
For those of you new to MPG, like I was, they are a brand who strive to combine performance functionality with fashionable looks. MPG is well known by yoga enthusiasts and dancers and really has driven themselves into the athletic arena of performance gear. The MPG Match Jacket works well for walking, warm ups, general exercise, and leisure; I have worn this Match jacket, in combination with the practice pants, countless times and in countless situations – a truly versatile practice jacket!
The material selected for the MPG Match Jacket is a poly-spandex performance jersey; this incredible blend provides for a 4-way stretch and is moisture-wicking to keep you dry. This material not only looks good and feels good, but was incredible functional in both workout mode and in casual use.
The trim is a comfortable made from a ribbed material accented in a blue and light grey. The jacket itself has a small breast pocket in a sharp blue to give a bit more contrast and style to the black. The overall look and feel of the Match Jacket is most certainly a refined, up-scale look. Again, all of these subtle touches are what take these beyond your standard athletic jacket. The only small, and I mean tiny, thing I’d change is on the breast pocket. It’d be nice if that somehow closed or secured itself so that I could safely put my iPod, or anything else, in it.
The MPG Match Jacket has rightfully earned a near perfect score. I can honestly say that this is by far my favorite athletic jacket. If you don’t check out MPG, you’re missing out. My wife has been a huge fan of Athletica and after seeing the MPG line, she’s ready to switch over to MPG – they are simply that awesome.

aussieBum My Day Brief- A Men’s Underwear Review
FEATURED ITEM IN THE MENSWEAR REVIEW HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE
I’ve had the pleasure of reviewing aussieBum in the past, but these are probably my favorite out of all the aBs I’ve tried! The recent release of the aussieBum My Day collection peaked my interest when I first saw them; wearing them affirmed their appeal. Ok, I might have been 8 the last time that I days of the week on my underwear, but just like wearing cartoon characters or funky colors, it’s all about the fun of it. Wearing My Day underwear brings you back to the joys of childhood. And hey, for some guys maybe it’ll really help them know what day it is.
Aside from the youthful nature of these briefs, they were incredibly comfortable and well made. The My Day briefs are made from a wonderfully soft blend of 92% Cotton and 8% Elastane. The quality of the material is second to none. The combination of the two materials, Cotton and Elastane, also provides fabric with just enough stretch to mold to your body, and parts, while still giving you the quality comfort of cotton.
Quality continues in the the stitching in the seams and in the leg openings. They playful day of the week is displayed boldly across the waistband in color-coding fashion – in case you don’t bother to read the label you’ll still know the day. The waistband was comfortable and well constructed.
In front, I found a rather comfortable pouch - as I often do with aussieBum. The cut of the brief is that of a lowrise, as you can see from the picture below. The look of the lowrise and the comfortable feel of the pouch are sure to make you happy.
For my butt, I was delighted to find a full seat. All to often in lowrise briefs you have to give up some rear coverage. In the aussieBum My Day briefs, I had plenty of material to keep these comfortable and allowing them to stay in place – no riding up. As I mentioned earlier, there is just enough stretch in the material to form to the body. As you can see in the pictures, and I noticed in person, the fabric weaves nicely across your butt, creating a rather sexy posterior.

Good Devil Mesh Jock: A Men’s Underwear Review
Devilishly Fun, Good Devil Underwear has raised some excitement here at Menswear Review. You may recall our reviews on Good Devil’s Net G-STring, Preview Jock, and more! Today’s review is on their ultra sexy Good Devil Mesh Jock.
The Good Devil Mesh Jock I recently had the opportunity to wear does not disappoint. Just like all the other styles I have reviewed from Good Devil, I had a great time with them!
The front pouch is made of a fine silky feeling mesh that gives adequate support for normal wear and has that barely there feeling. I wouldn’t recommend them for athletics due to the airy light support they give, but they are extremely comfortable for wearing under jeans or shorts. The pouch has a soft contrasting ribbing that rounds it out lifting nicely under the package before connecting to a separate mesh area that actually attaches to the rear side elastics. This design seems to be more comfortable than others in which the pouch attaches directly to the elastic rear straps. The flat seams also add to the comfort and help to eliminate any irritation.
The wide elastic waistband is soft and comfortable and has the Good Devil logo stylishly printed in contrast. The rear elastic straps are made with the same softness and comfortably stay in place.
The red and black pair I wore really went along with the Devilish theme and looked great on. An awesome addition to any underwear drawer! You can get this in black, red, white or royal.
For more information on Good Devil, check out the Good Devil website. To pick up a pair for yourself, they are available now at Underwear Station and Mensuas.

PIPE Unbeaten Jock Square Cut Brief: A Menswear Review
Reviewed by Shayne
**FEATURE ITEM – MEN’S HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE**
Pipe have been wise in their marketing of this product featuring uber sexy videos and photo stills to capture audiences. I must admit that I bought into their campaign. Their underwear caught my eye and I was ecstatic when I recently received a pair of my own to review. Warning: these are low rise and will definitely show off your physique and are designed to be low cut to show your pleasure trail towards heaven.
This low rise, square cut boxer brief is an extremely sexy and sporty design that epitomizes the word JOCK. Pipe have thought about design in these trunks and have used this skill to create optical illusions to help accentuate the male physique. These trunks are fit for jocks and those that love jocks – you or your man will look like gods gift in these. Well worth it for the price!
Design
I am starting to love underwear that features a wide waistband and Pipe is no exception. This boxer brief features a 1.5” faded black waistband emblazoned with stars in a variety of sizes, their trademark PIPE logo and the word JOCK. The graphics are complemented with red, white and black to create a very youthful looking garment. They have continued the use of the white and black throughout the briefs by using white striping to accentuate the pouch and to help frame your tush. Pipe do not use any form of enhancing technology (not that it needs it). It already creates enough definition where it is needed. The white striping is continued down the sides of the boxer briefs; again making them look very sporty.
Fabric
Pipe have used a blend of cotton (93%) and spandex (7%), which does exactly what they have designed – it mould to every inch of your body. It makes your butt look round and pert, helps create definition in the pouch and shapes your thighs (for those of us lucky enough to have muscled thighs). The only downfall is the ribbing – they have used a glossy non-fabric material, which will eventually fade.
Fit
These are one of the most comfortable pair of underwear I have had the pleasure to wear. The combination of cotton and spandex creates a very sculptured fit and definitely shapes your bodily features very nicely. The ribbing accentuates what god has naturally given you, although, I would suggest that you would need to be careful when laundering these beauties. I wore these all day to work and had no problems at all with comfort. I would suggest sizing up slightly, I wore a large when I normally fluctuate between small and medium.
Quality
The Quality is overall quite well made, however, Pipe does need to be a bit more careful with their machining, especially the overlocking stitching around the pouch. There are also some stray strands of cotton and some cost cutting measures in the production. Although these are only minor when knowing the end result – a damn sexy brief that will definitely turn heads when you walk through the gym or when you get home after a hard day at work or after a run.
Where to Buy
The Pipe Unbeaten range can be purchased direct through http://www.pipeunderwear.com or at Banglads. These are a definite must for anyone serious about underwear who wants a very modern, sexy and functional garment. You can pick up a pair for $26 USD – a small price for beauty.

OBVIOUSLY Full Cut Brief – A Menswear Review
Reviewed by Shayne
What can I say that I have not already said about OBVIOUSLY …. They are masters at creating sexy and comfortable briefs. These are my favourite briefs in my drawer. Earlier in the month, I reviewed the Low Rise Bikini Brief with rave reviews. This Australian underwear retailer knows how to market products to men that will not only provide comfort beyond belief but make you look as sexy as all those men on the internet and in magazine you admire. They have done it again! Autumn is finally here and OBVIOUSLY have again created another anatomically designed brief that your body will love and your partner will find it difficult to keep their hands off you.
Fit
The Full Cut Brief, part of the Autumn Change range is the ultimate in comfort for those of us out there that want to full sexy whilst have the protection of a fuller cut brief. It again features their trademark feature – the anatomical pouch. Basically, the pouch is designed to prevent any squashing, chafing or sweatiness as it allows your genitals to hang like nature intended. Once you wear this design you will wonder why you wore anything else. The pouch provide enough room to allow your balls feel like they are in a soft, silky sling and give your old fella enough room to expand through the day. There is nothing worse than totally restrictive briefs.
Unlike the bikini cut version, I found that I did not need to adjust the garment whatsoever. The fuller seat in these briefs minimized any riding up or the appearance of the too familiar plumbers crack when bending over. It will save you from embarrassment or those around you.
Style
I am always worried that full briefs = no sex appeal. This is far from the truth. Obviously have produced a subtle yet sexy garment that helps to accentuate a man’s best features: the butt and the package. They have corrected the problem in the rear of the garment whilst still giving that sexy cut in the front. Like their other styles, OBVIOUSLY have included anatomical pouch to help accentuate your God given talents for your lover. This is definitely what it does: your man or woman will take a double take as you walk by and admire your cut form. The cut of the rear makes your butt look cute to boot whilst still being comfortable to wear all day, whether you are playing sports or under your suit.
The Full Cut Brief features a 38mm waistband, which does not irritate (like some other brands on the market). The waistband compliments the overall look and color of the brief. It features the OBVIOUSLY logo in the centre of the waistband with horizontal shades of green stripes to complement the kiwi green in the rest of the brief. One great feature of the briefs is that it features a tagless design to reduce the annoying and uncomfortable itch (that is common in many other brands).
The fabric is another attractive feature of this garment; it is made from a blend of modal (90%) and lycra (10%). This made the briefs extremely light and comfortable to wear all day that it felt like I was wearing absolutely nothing at all – OBVIOUSLY a big bonus. It made me feel sexy yet supported all day. Being from Australia and our tropical climate I was worried about sweating but it held up all day.
Quality
OBVIOUSLY have spent considerable time and care in producing a quality garment. I looked very closely and it was difficult to find any stray cotton in their machining and the garment held up very well after a few washes.
OBVIOUSLY is the place to shop. The Full Cut Brief comes in a range of Autumn colours: plum, kiwi, glacier and stone blue. I reviewed the brief in a kiwi colour: a vibrant colour for the upcoming Australian summer. They come in small, medium, large and extra large. OBVIOUSLY offer a great product for a reasonable price under $27 AUD ($27 USD, € 20) and can be purchased online through OBVIOUSLY. Get online and snap these up, you will find it difficult not to have one in each colour. You will finally be able to show off your manly form whilst still walking around in comfort. I love them that much that I will definitely be buying more for Christmas!!

Aware SOHO ‘Patriot’ – A Men’s Underwear Review
Boqari Men’s Underwear – A Review
My latest review is on the Boqari Seamless men’s underwear. I tried these awesome men’s mini trunks in 3 different styles: Square Jacquard in Jet Black, Jamaica Mesh in Modena Red, and Argyle in Spank me Purple.
The Boquari Seamless men’s underwear are unisex and come in two sizes S-M and L-XL, I’m a 31 waist so I wore the S-M.

Since the Boqari are seamless, I didn’t want to critique them in a break-down of front back and so on. Instead I decided I would just describe how they fit and felt to provide an overall experience with them as a complete garment.
I was a little skeptical of how they would fit being both unisex and coming in only two sizes, as my experience in the past with articles sized this way has been a little less than comfortable. I was cheerfully surprised as I put them on for the first time. They stretched perfectly to fit with a soft and light hug. The ultra-light-soft nylon material hugged very gently and so softly like nothing I’ve felt before. It was difficult to stop touching them in amazement!
I decided I would wear them to “test” them out the following day. Since they were trunk-style there were no lines to worry about, and being seamless (which is amazing in and of itself) there were no irritations or scratching/rubbing in any strange places. They felt great on all day. The material breathed enough to keep me cool and they didn’t ride up or feel clingy. They just hugged me softly all day just as they did the moment I put them on. Definitely an A+.
Oh, did I mention they are also fashioned in a very sexy men’s trunk-style cut? That’s right, they not only feel sexy and smooth, they also have the look too. Out of the 3 styles I tried, I felt the Jamaican Mesh was the sexiest pair; they have a large mesh that is quite revealing covering the sides and rear. The Argyle has, you guessed it, a two toned argyle pattern all over that gives them a nice look too. The Square Jacquard really pops with its raised diamond shape knitting. I will also mention that my partner liked the look of all 3 of them, but also thought the Jamaican Mesh were the sexiest.
They are all hand wash with mild soap and hang to dry. After washing I didn’t have a place to hang them, so laid them flat to dry and that worked just fine. They held their shape and softness just as I had expected them to. In fact, they held up to the wash so well, I’m thinking about trying them at the pool.
These were a lot of fun to wear and I really enjoyed being able to have the opportunity to take them on a test drive. I would highly recommend trying a pair or two; get a pair for your partner as well since they are unisex. You can find out more about Boqari and my direct from them on their website.
UPDATE: Palace Trunks now carries the BOQARI line – check ‘em out!
