Banana Republic Review
Banana Republic Straight Dress Pant Review
Banana Republic’s Straight Lightweight Wool Herringbone Dress Pant is a very well made, comfortable dress pant. The 100% lightweight wool makes this pant comfortable for all seasons. If you’re going to buy dress pants, you really need to consider pants made from wool – they wear and breath better in all seasons. I chose to review the flat front pant – actually, I’ll only review flat front pants as wearing pleats in a fashion faux pas nowadays. The herringbone pattern provides a distinguished look and mixes well with many dress shirts. The straight fit of these pants provide for a clean, lean look. The pants sat comfortably at my waist. I liked that the pants were lined to the knee as this helped with the comfort factor. The pants feature a zip fly and a hook-and-bar closure. The closure was fine and looked fine when clasped. I do prefer the combination of an interior button in combination with the hook-and-bar. Standard dress pant pockets include two off-seam in the front and two back welt pockets.
Overall, a good looking and fitting dress pant. At $98/pair they are average price for a decent dress pant.
