UnderFit Crew Neck Undershirt Review

About

For quite some time, I've been on the hunt for the perfect men's undershirt for quite some time.  As a guy who wears a business suit nearly every day, finding a quality, comfortable undershirt is quite important to me.  I was frustrated about undershirts that either ballooned-up on me or kept coming untucked. In an effort to find an undershirt long enough to stay tucked, I looked at buying Tall lengths Рthis, unfortunately left me with a ballooning effect and too much length!

I reviewed highly popular stay-tucked brands like Tommy John and Ribbed Tee and was pretty happy with what I found.

My latest discovery, though, brings me as close to perfection as I can find РUnderFit Crew Neck T-Shirt! UnderFit makes both a v-neck and a crew neck.  For this review, I will focus on the crew neck version.

UnderFit has actually been around for a few years now and has been under new ownership since 2014. For my USA readers, you'll be happy to know they are made hear in the states.

What  We Liked

What did I like?  Just about everything! The height of the crew neck on my neck was perfect, as was the comfort of the neck's material and binding. Next, the length of the undershirt functioned exactly as promised. The shirt stayed in place all-day without any adjustments.

The overall fit of the undershirt was also spot on. The material hugged my body, relieving me of the ballooning look so many other undershirts leave me.  While it hugged my body, it hugged it comfortably and without restriction.

The material used is a silky-soft blend of 95% ProModal(R) and 5% Lycra.

Suggestions for Improvement

Writing suggestions for improvement is really hard to make as I can't find anything that I'd change other than perhaps they could pre-wash before sending them to you (there is a new material scent)! The only thing to take note of is because of the material, washing instructions are to wash in cold water and dry with low heat.  For me, that was a challenge as all of my whites typically go on hot or warm.  After several washings, I did decide to wash on warm (but keep low heat drying) and didn't' see any variation to the fit.  if you also decide to wash on warm, you do so at your own risk РI'm not sure of the long-term effect on the material itself.

UPDATE: UnderFit has now updated their washing instructions to allow you to wash how you'd like – no more cold water only!

Overall

I've tested this shirt multiple times now and each time it has felt incredibly comfortable, along with staying in place under my dress shirts. When I look at pricing, I look for value over price.  At $25 a shirt (discounts if you buy more than 1) these are an incredible value and less expensive than other high-end undershirts.

Stay tuned for the v-neck review coming soon!
