Bum-Chums has really seemed to have gained some traction this past year with their new underwear collections.  From the sparkling metallic to the daring mesh, Bum-Chums has a wide variety of collections to offer.  Menswear Review has been fortunate to receive a number of Bum-Chums to review.  The first of the reviews is on the newest of the collections, the Bum-Chums Tool Belt Brief.

Fit: The Tool Belt is styled as a lowrise and fits as such.  Sitting low on your hips, the brief not only gives you the styling of a sexy lowrise, but actually manages to give you comfortable rear coverage (sometimes a challenge with lowrise).  In the rear, you find mesh covers your cheeks – providing booth the cooling effect of mesh, but also the sexy look of mesh.   Bum Chums uses flat seams in the pouch and rear-center, but not where the mesh meets the fabric across the bottom where they used a lap seam. If I can make any recommendation it would be to change the lap seam as you can feel the seam across your butt while you’re wearing them.  I would add that I don’t want this read as being uncomfortable, it’s just that you feel the seam.

Style: This is a unique design. The lowrise sits low on your waist, and has a supportive pouch similar to that of a jock.  Then coming from the rear and across the waistband is the power mesh; this creates a unique, sexy look.

Fabric: The Bum-Chums Tool Belt Brief is made of a nice blend of cotton Lycra and polyamide power mesh.  The material was soft and comfortable.

Quality: Overall, these are well made.

Overall, these are a unique, sexy pair of underwear that I can easily recommend for a night out.
