Tribe Burn Out Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review
Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to review a number of underwear styles from Tribe. Without exception, I have been pleased with what I find from Tribe: quality, unique fabrics, comfort. Tribe is another quality men’s brand from down under.
Today’s review on Tribe’s Burn Out Brief is no exception to what I’ve historically found with Tribe. The Burn Out Brief that I tried is part of Tribe’s Standard Brief Cut. The Burn Out fabric is also available in the Slim Side Cut for those that like a bit less material (more of a bikini fit than brief fit). The Standard Brief cut is different from what you may find in other brand’s brief cut. I would tend to say that it is somewhere between bikini and lowrise brief (see pictures). The main difference is that the Standard is cut wider on the hip than the Slim Side.
On comfort, I found the standard brief in the Burn Out fabric to be very comfortable. While it’s a lowrise, there is adequate rear-end coverage and it sits high enough that you don’t feel like they’re falling down (sometime too much of a lowrise creates this feeling). For pouch comfort, it’s adequate and comfortable. It’s not a true pouch front but it’s not a flat front either.
What I liked most about the Burn Out Brief is the fabric. Tribe really has some very unique fabrics that you don’t find anywhere else. The Burn Out fabric is sheer with patterns of velvety material on top. The combination peeks the viewers interest with out giving away the whole picture. Let’s just say they left my wife wanting to see more.
The fabric is very soft and has a luxury feel to it. Truly, very comfortable for all day, or all night.
Like most Tribe underwear, the Burn Out Brief has made my favorite’s list and can easily recommend them to you. Priced at roughly $24 (USD) they are an excellent buy considering the comfort, quality, and unique material. Tribe Aqua Jungle Brief – A Review
The Tribe Aqua Jungle Brief is my latest men’s underwear review. I’ve written several underwear reviews on Tribe and once again am impressed with their products.
Tribe’s Brief is their standard brief cut (in comparison to their slim side and trunk brief). The standard brief was designed to cut wider on the hip and be more of hipster style. For me, I found the standard brief to be very comfortable and attractive. This is definitely a sexy brief than most “standard briefs” and looks more like a bikini brief. Between the standard brief and slim side, there isn’t too much difference. The fabric I tried is the Aqua Jungle pattern. Aqua Jungle is a white and aqua print with jungle-style leaves on them and made from a soft viscose/elastane blend with a 100% modal lined pouch. The standard brief fit me quite well. I found the pouch to be comfortable and supportive throughout the day. The brief sits comfortably at your hips and the high leg openings provide comfort and ease of movement. For rear end coverage, Tribe’s standard brief is full coverage. I didn’t have any problems with wedgies or discomfort. Being a full seat, I was comfortable all day.
I really like this brand – their styles and fit are fantastic. Not only do they make really comfortable men’s underwear, they do so with fun colors and designs. Tribe continues to be one of my favorite brands and can easily recommend their standard brief. Check out Tribe’s site for more information and additional patterns or cuts.

Tribe Skull Long Boxer – A Review
Tribe’s Long Boxer is a longer version than their short boxer but for guys in the states, this shouldn’t be confused with a midcut. The Long Boxer is more in line with the traditional length of a boxer brief and Tribe’s Short Boxer is more like a hipster brief. I like both of Tribe’s long and short styles. For me, the big difference is on appearance as I’ve found both to be fairly equal in comfort. For the Skull pattern I liked the look of the Long Boxer. The “skull” is a blank on white abstract print that resemble skulls when you look at them.

Tribe Trunk Brief Review in Minty Geometric
In my last post, I wrote on Tribe’s short boxer in the Minty Geometric pattern. Tribe also makes their Minty Geometric pattern in a trunk brief. The cut of the trunk brief is a bit wider to look more like a short but with the support of a brief while giving it a masculine brief look for all body types. From my last post, you know that I find the Minty Geometric pattern very nice and out of the ordinary – so the Minty Geometric is a winner in my book. For the cut, I found the pouch to be quite comfortable and supportive. The trunk brief would be good for wearing when you play sports or exercise. What I especially like about the trunk brief is that there is full coverage for you butt – no wedgies, ;-D

Tribe’s Minty Geometric Short Boxer Review
As you know, Tribe is one of my favorite brands. Tribe’s Minty Geometric short boxer is not only good looking, but comfy too. The cut of the short boxer is designed to hold you properly all around – and it does. I really like how the pouch holds and supports you without squashing you. The cut also allows for comfortable support of your butt. Being a short boxer, I didn’t have to deal with any issues of the legs riding up on me. I wear these time and time again because they’re so comfortable and supportive. For style, I like the look of the short boxer and of the Minty Geometric pattern. Actually, this is one of the things I like best about Tribe – their patterns aren’t the typical patterns/designs you see in other brands. All around, a great short boxer – both in style and comfort.
