Croota Blue Tang: a Mens Underwear Review

A few days ago, I wrote a review on the Croota Star Tang hipster. I had nothing but glorious things to say about the Croota Star Tang Hipter.  Today’s review on the Blue Tang hipster is just as stellar.

Fit: As I wrote about the Star Tang, I don’t think I could have asked for a better fit. The Blue Tang fit me quite well all around. The pouch provided me adequate room for support and comfort. The use of 95% cotton/5% polyurethane was a great material choice as it aided in the overall comfort and fit of the pouch and hipster all around. As a hipster, there was full rear coverage (just like the Star Tang), which allows for all-day comfort. The cut of the Croota hipsters really highlights your butt and will definitely CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »

Croota Star Tang: a Men’s Underwear Review

Today I start my first, of what I hope to be many, review of Croota.  I’ve kept an eye on Croota over the course of this past year as they’ve rolled out new designs.  One of the aspects of Croota is that they create a sexy line of men’s underwear without being trashy or gawdy.  And, just about any type of man can wear these – from the daring to the more conservative.  Croota displays on their product tags, “best before marriage.”As a married man, I can say they’re just as good after marriage, if not more so, than before marriage.  The overall look and feel of Croota will definitely get you noticed and, hopefully, more play time. :-)

Today’s review is on the Croota Star Tang hipster.  The Star Tang is a lowrise hipster that features a satin waistband with Croota stylish splashed across it.

Fit:  I don’t think I could have asked for a better fit.  The Star Tang fit me perfect in all the important spots.  First, the pouch was adequately sized for support and comfort.  The use of 100% modal helped greatly in the overall comfort and fit of the pouch.  I’d like to thank Croota for making a pouch designed for men.  Seriously, some brands you wonder if they ever tried them on or were using 12 year olds for fitting!  As a hipster, there was full rear coverage, which allows for all-day comfort.  The cut of the hipster really highlights your butt and will definitely get you noticed.  As a lowerise hipster it sits low on your waist and has short legs.  Both of these aspects made the hipster very comfortable.  The super soft waistband sat just right and the legs were nice and short to provide coverage without having to worry about the legs riding up. PUMP! Grand Prix Boxer – a Men’s Underwear Review

About six months ago, we came across PUMP!, a relatively new fashion company based in Montreal, Canada.  Their goal was to fill the gap in the underwear world with fresh and unique ideas.

I’ve found the PUMP! underwear line to be a form fitting underwear that not only looks sexy and modern, but their selection of materials used in makings these boxers make them quite comfortable to wear.

Unfortunately for me, I received a size Medium (I need a large in PUMP!), but fortunate for a friend of mine, I passed the sample off to him for inspection. Comments under fit are a guest review and comments for style, fabric and quality are really a joint effort as I took quite a bit of time looking over the sample I received.

Fit: The boxers really are form fitting – not to be confused with tight.  The boxer briefs hold snug to your body and highlight the various curves of the male form. The result is a boxer brief that really shows off your butt, but still leaves a comfortable amount of room in the pouch to keep you comfortable and supported.

Style: I have to say, I’m really a huge fan of the colors and patterns PUMP! has come up with.  Feeling a bit like a Grand Prix racer or, in other styles, a classic painter or even a street tagger can bring a little fun to your day!  The Grand Prix provides the classic checkered flag pattern with bright red piping to compliment the pattern.

Fabric: The fabric is made from a wonderful blend of cotton and spandex.  It’s really the spandex that gives you the soft feel and body-forming fit you desire.

Quality: It is quite evident that they have spent considerable time on the finish.  I can attest, from previous samples, that the fabric is fade-resistant; this is certainly another testament to its quality.

Where to buy: The Grand Prix boxer briefs can be purchased through PUMP! http://www.wantpump.com/store. They are relatively well priced at roughly $25.00 USD ($36 CAD) and are a fun addition to any underwear collection.

No Limits Sleep and Sportswear Review

No Limits is a new brand I’ve recently come across.  No Limits is a partnership between the US and Europe (Bulgaria) with designs to address the styles of both sides of the pond.  What’s interesting about No Limits is their line of unisex garments.  While I haven’t tried the unisex garments, it’s an inter sting idea. – definitely would need enough stretch to make room for the goods.

My first review of No Limits is on their Style #62 B Sleep/Sportswear style in Black.  The Sleep/Sportswear collection comes as a pair of boxer briefs with a coordinating t-shirt.  My first thought as I pulled them from the reusable bag they came in was pretty sharp.  The blend of material used, along with the contrasting red stitching against the black what excellent.

This collection is styled to be versatile and body hugging.  I would agree that it’s body hugging – in  a comfortable way – but not so sure I’d see it as versatile for sleepwear. I could see the t-shirt for sleeping, but would prefer something looser for bottoms.  With that said, I found the shirt and boxer briefs very comfortable and quite well made.  The material selection of 90% cotton/10% spandex created a silky look and feel.

The overall cut was body-hugging without being restrictive.  I like a snug fitting shirt that doesn’t cut off your arm circulation or, at the opposite end, bunch up under another shirt.  The shirt was a perfect fit for me (I wore a medium and am a 42 inch chest).

For the boxer briefs, these too were body-hugging without being overly restrictive.  I liked the snug feel and had supportive, comfortable room in the pouch.  As a boxer brief, I’m always concerned about the legs riding up.  I can tell you I had very few adjustments throughout the day.

At $27 (USD) these are a great buy considering the quality, comfort AND that you’re getting a set for that price.  In addition, these came in reusable bag that can come in handy.

All-in-all, I’m pleased with what I found in No Limits.  My first review leaves me content and looking forward to my next review. I found quality in their material selection, stitching, waistband, and style. For more information and to purchase these, check out their website at www.nolimitsunderwear.com

Gregg Homme BoyToy Boxer Brief: a Men’s Underwear Review

I’ve written several times now about Gregg Homme and their incredible sexy underwear designs they keep coming out with.  My latest find is the Gregg Homme BoyToy boxer brief.

The BoyToy Collection, by Gregg Homme, features a lightweight wet-look fabric (85% Polyamide/15% Spandex) that fits snugly and comfortably.  The material has that barely-there feeling to it which is not only nice for general comfort, but is great when you’re wearing tighter fitting clothing or jeans.  Due to the lightweight nature of the fabric and the careful placement of seams, the boxer briefs molds nicely to your body while enhancing your pouch AND your backside!  I found the pouch to be snug while still providing enough room.

The overall style of these boxer briefs are minimalistic.  A sexy, short boxer brief complimented by super-lightweight wet-look material really does create one hot piece of underwear.  The Gregg Homme BoyToy Boxer Brief comes in a majestic Royal blue, vivid Magenta, bright Aqua, Black or Pewter.

If you’re looking for a little bit less coverage, you can also find the BoyToy collection as Jockstrap, Brief and Thong styles.

All-in-all a fantastic new collection and boxer brief for Gregg Homme.  I’m a 34″ waist and often float between medium and large depending on the brand.  I tried these in both medium and large and prefer the medium – though both actually fit me fine.  If you prefer a snug feel and your on the fence stick to the size chart.  If you’d prefer a bit more room you could size up – again depending on where on the size chart you fall.

Where to buy? You can find these at the following stockist:

Private Structure Spectrum Lowrise Trunk: a Men’s Underwear Review

My friends over at MensUnderwearStore.com recently sent me their latest underwear of the month – a pretty cool service if you ask me — who wouldn’t want to try new pair of underwear each month?  The underwear for the May Underwear of the Month Club was the Private Structure Spectrum Lowrise Trunk.

The Spectrum Lowrise Brief is made from a blend of 95% cotton and 5% spandex in a spectrum of colors.  The resulting blend is a comfortable, quality, cottony soft material that has just enough stretch to keep it’s shape and still give you the feeling you want.  The name Spectrum really says it all; the Spectrum collection comes in black, blue, green, navy, red, violet, white and yellow.  The color selection is simply wonderful.  The color I tried these in was red.  The color was a wonderful vivid shade of red without being obnoxious.

Private Structure tends to run small.  I typically would wear a size large according to their size chart (for waists 31-33 “inches” / /79-84 cm) but I took an XL instead and glad that I did!  The overall fit of the Private Structure Lowrise Trunk is rather small – which would make sense for a lowrise trunk.  I found the overall cut to give a sexy look while still giving you the coverage you like and not the added material of a boxer brief you don’t want – particularily for summer time.  The trunk sits low on the waist and sexy little short legs.  A great look from the front and and even better one from the back!

For pouch comfort, I was quite pleased.  I found the pouch to provide adequate room, great comfort, and support.

Overall, I really enjoyed the Private Structure Spectrum Lowrise Trunk, these being the first Private Structure I’ve tried.  The quality of material selection and stitching was quite good.  And, at $14, these are an awesome trunk for the money!  Shop directly at www.mensunderwearstore.com

Tease Boxer Brief: a Men’s Underwear Review

You may recall my post about a month ago where I introduced Tease Underwear, one of the newest brands on the market.  Today, I’m pleased to review their Samurai and Egyptian Cotton boxer briefs.

What I find pretty cool is that they use photos and paintings from friends and family in their designs to ensure uniqueness.  The designers tell me that the fabric selection used comes from a careful selection of beautiful, comfortable, and sustainably grown fabrics (such as organic cotton, bamboo and modal).  All of their collections are produced in Ilhota, Santa Catarina (Brazilian lingerie an bikini capital) and shipped in recycled packaging.

The Samurai and Egyptian Cotton boxer briefs are virtually the same; the biggest different between the two is the use of an Asian design on the Samurai and the Egyptian Cotton being solid.  The only other difference is the coloring on the waistband.  Other than these two distinctions, my review is really on both of these – the cut, comfort, and material are the same.

The material used in these boxer briefs come from a mix of 90% cotton and 10% Polyurethane to give you the soft gentle feel of cotton with enough stretch to keep it comfortable on your body and not stretch out.  Sometimes 100% cotton can get saggy after washing.  With a bit of polyurethane, they’re able to keep this from happening.  It is quite evident that a quality grade of material was used.

The look of the boxer brief is relatively standard as far as dimensions and pouch are concerned.  What makes Tease Underwear standout from the rest is colorful, truly unique waistbands and graphics.  The waistband is also not your run-of-the-mill waistband.  Aside from the beautiful coloring and design, they are a high-grade waistband material creating comfort with function.

The leg bands and pouch band are contrast in color to make them standout more as they provide excellent functionality.  In some brands, boxer brief legs tend to ride up unless they’re super tight.  For Tease, they’ve been able to find the right mix between comfort and function.  I didn’t have any problems with the legs riding up at all during the day.

All around, these boxer briefs – both the Samurai and the Egyptian Cotton – were incredibly comfortable.  A good sign of true comfort is how many times you grab for them in your drawer.  Over the past few weeks, when I looked in my drawer wanting something that I could be comfortable in all day – like the several times I’ve had to fly these past few weeks – I’ve consistently grabbed for Tease.  I get incredible comfort without sacrificing style.

I have been fortunate to get my hands on some of their women’s underwear; no, not for me.  I think they’ll make an excellent competitor for existing brands. My wife tried the Boyfriend Brief, a wonderful blend of modal and lycra, the G-String, made from organic cotton, and a Bikini, also made from organic cotton.  She was most impressed with the comfort and quality of the material AND the designs.  The unique of their designs, in combination with color selections, are what make Tease stand out.  You may think I’m a little odd, but it’s fun having matching skivvies, my wife would agree too. :-)

The artistic nature of the collections for both men and women were fresh and appealing, the organic cotton was soft and comfortable, and the collections were conservative, but stylish.  Tease Underwear will be making these available online soon, I can’t wait!  Check out their website for additional product images and the latest news.  www.teaseunderwear.com and at teaseunderwear.tumblr.com

Gregg Homme Commando Trunk: a Men’s Underwear Review

Gregg Homme CommandoYou may recall the Gregg Homme Torrid Boxer Brief review I did a bit ago, which I loved of course.  Well, my latest review on the Gregg Homme Commando Trunk brings me as much pleasure as the Torrid Boxer Brief! What brings me to this conclusion? Mostly it’s the same awesome material!

Made from a sensual feeling blend of 80% Polyamide and 20% Spandex, this material is is paper thin to truly give you a commando feeling; no really, I mean it.  You get all the benefits of going commando without the irritating feeling that can bring from rubbing against your clothing; simply put, you get your cake and can eat it too!

Gregg Homme CommandoThe Commando comes in a trunk, a brief, a jock or even a string bikini.  While this review is on the Gregg Homme Commando Trunk, I would imagine all of the styles are going to be just as awesome as the trunk was.  So you may ask me, if I loved the Torrid Boxer Brief so much, why would you consider going Commando?  Well, the Commando Trunk actually gives you a bit more coverage and the pouch is a tad more reserved (I say a tad because the material is still super thin, stretchy and a bit sheer) you won’t find too much modesty here.  There are times when the Torrid would be preferred, but for daily wearing (end evening wear for that matter), the Commando Trunk is a rather universal design – sexy, yet conservative.

As I said before, the material is super thin which provides a subtle sheer look to it with a sexy shimmer to it. The material adds quite a bit to the overall fit and comfort. This new material is made with their new 8-way hyperstretch material that provides you a sexy look and feel.  As I often do, I wore these under my daily business suit, under jeans, and under slacks for a night out; I was incredibly comfortable in each setting.

Overall, an awesome, sexy trunk. Gregg Homme has another winner from their latest designs. I highly recommend the Gregg Homme Commando Trunk.  Sizing was accurate with the following size chart. I am a 34″ waist and tried these in size Medium and was very comfortable.

Where to buy? Available in black, blue, khaki, red and white, you can find these at the following stockist:

Alick Alexander Pro Trunk – a Men’s Underwear Review

I’ve recently come across a brand that’s new to me, but has actually been in the underwear world since 2007 – Alick Alexander.  Alick Alexander, as I said, was founded in 2007 with it’s first product launch in 2008.  Hailing from London, they strove to develop a brand that is stylish, comfortable, and fun; I’d say they’re on their way to achieving this goal.

What first caught my attention with Alick Alexander was the bright colorful options, while still maintaining a more conservative look.  For the guy who’s looking for athletic, conservative underwear, Alick Alexander should be on their radar.  The styles available so far from Alick Alexander are broad enough to meet most guys taste.  The Pro collection I’m reviewing today is a more conservative/athletic look where as the CU Mesh collection is for the more daring guy.

On to the review …. The Alick Alexander Pro Trunk is a hipster style fitted trunk made from a blend of 88% polyamide and 12% elastane.  This combo of materials creates a wonderfully silk, shinny material that has quite a bit of stretch to it.  Being a hipster type of trunk, the fit provides a small fit than a traditional trunk and more coverage than your typical brief.  For me, I’ve really come to enjoy the look and fit of a hipster.  Full coverage in the butt for comfortable is an absolute must for me; a hipster consistently provides this for me.  A sexy look – whether macho sexy or provocative sexy, is also a must.  Alick Alexander Pro Trunk does well in the macho-sexy category.

While I tried the Pro Trunk in white (a more conservative color), it is also available in yellow, red, pink, royal blue, and turquoise.  Macho-sexy comes into play not only with the cut and material, but also in the use of contrasting stitching.  All of the stitching around the pouch, crotch and sides contrasts with the white nicely, matching the waistband, to highlight the areas of importance.

The pouch is an athletic fitting pouch which would make these perfect for sport.  I do really like the latest trend of ergonomic pouches, but was quite happy in these due to the stretchiness of the material.  In addition, I’d prefer the athletic pouch over the ergonomic pouch if my goal for purchasing these included wearing them for sport.

All-in-all, a stylish, macho-sexy trunk.  I can comfortably recommend these to you, especially for sport.  For guys (or gals buying underwear for their man) who’s a bit apprehensive venturing out into more provocative underwear, these make a perfect transition in moving into the broad world of men’s underwear.  At £12.00 ($19 USD), they’re a pretty good buy.

Timoteo Scout Square Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

Review By Ken

This is the third of three Timoteo Sport products I have reviewed, the first two where the Sport Jock and the Sport Brief.   Just like the first two Timoteo Sport products, the Sport Trunk is made of 96% cotton and 4% spandex making the material very comfortable, breathable, supportive and perfect for athletic activities, ….. in and out of the bedroom!  The hot canary yellow with the black piping along the leg openings, the wide white accented waist band all make for a sexy color scheme.

I prefer the trunk/boxer brief type of underwear so this third style of the Timoteo Sport products was right down my aisle.  As with the other two styles, the Sport Trunk provides plenty of support for activities such as volleyball (which I played while wearing the Sport Trunk), is very comfortable without binding or pinching and is breathable enough to allow proper ventilation of heat and perspiration.

The pouch is properly shaped and provides plenty of support with just the right amount of room so as not to pinch or flatten out your equipment.  The wide waistband is comfortable as well and does not cause irritation or rub the wrong way.

Overall I thought all three of the Timoteo Sport products were well constructed,  provided excellent support and were very comfortable.  Depending on your style preference (Jock,  Brief, or Trunk),  I believe the Timoteo Line  has something for everyone.

Where to Buy

PIPE Unbeaten Jock Square Cut Brief: A Menswear Review

Reviewed by Shayne

**FEATURE ITEM – MEN’S HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE**

Pipe have been wise in their marketing of this product featuring uber sexy videos and photo stills to capture audiences. I must admit that I bought into their campaign. Their underwear caught my eye and I was ecstatic when I recently received a pair of my own to review. Warning: these are low rise and will definitely show off your physique and are designed to be low cut to show your pleasure trail towards heaven.

This low rise, square cut boxer brief is an extremely sexy and sporty design that epitomizes the word JOCK. Pipe have thought about design in these trunks and have used this skill to create optical illusions to help accentuate the male physique. These trunks are fit for jocks and those that love jocks – you or your man will look like gods gift in these. Well worth it for the price!

Design

I am starting to love underwear that features a wide waistband and Pipe is no exception. This boxer brief features a 1.5” faded black waistband emblazoned with stars in a variety of sizes, their trademark PIPE logo and the word JOCK. The graphics are complemented with red, white and black to create a very youthful looking garment.  They have continued the use of the white and black throughout the briefs by using white striping to accentuate the pouch and to help frame your tush. Pipe do not use any form of enhancing technology (not that it needs it). It already creates enough definition where it is needed. The white striping is continued down the sides of the boxer briefs; again making them look very sporty.

Fabric

Pipe have used a blend of cotton (93%) and spandex (7%), which does exactly what they have designed – it mould to every inch of your body. It makes your butt look round and pert, helps create definition in the pouch and shapes your thighs (for those of us lucky enough to have muscled thighs).  The only downfall is the ribbing – they have used a glossy non-fabric material, which will eventually fade.

Fit

These are one of the most comfortable pair of underwear I have had the pleasure to wear. The combination of cotton and spandex creates a very sculptured fit and definitely shapes your bodily features very nicely. The ribbing accentuates what god has naturally given you, although, I would suggest that you would need to be careful when laundering these beauties. I wore these all day to work and had no problems at all with comfort. I would suggest sizing up slightly, I wore a large when I normally fluctuate between small and medium.

Quality

The Quality is overall quite well made, however, Pipe does need to be a bit more careful with their machining, especially the overlocking stitching around the pouch. There are also some stray strands of cotton and some cost cutting measures in the production. Although these are only minor when knowing the end result – a damn sexy brief that will definitely turn heads when you walk through the gym or when you get home after a hard day at work or after a run.

Where to Buy

The Pipe Unbeaten range can be purchased direct through http://www.pipeunderwear.com or at Banglads. These are a definite must for anyone serious about underwear who wants a very modern, sexy and functional garment. You can pick up a pair for $26 USD – a small price for beauty.

Intymen Fill It Boxer – A Men’s Underwear Review

Reviewed by Dan

You may have read my last review on Intymen, the latest new brand entering my drawer, thanks to Underwear Station.  The is the second of a few reviews on Intymen. Today’s review is on the Intymen Fill It Boxer.

The Intymen Fill It Boxer is really more like the cut of a trunk – shorter legs.  As you know by now, I like boxer briefs as the weather starts to cool.  I like them not only for warmth, but for general comfort.  The Intymen Fill It Boxer Brief was great for a night out, but not necessarily for dailywear.

For looks, the Fill It Boxer is pretty sexy – short legs and the Fill It pouch enhancement.  The boxer gets its name, Fill It, because that’s exactly what you do.  The boxer brief is similar to what you’d typically find, withe one big difference.  In the pouch, there is a hole for sticking your package through.  The hole serves as a built in c-ring to enhance your profile. Not only does the c-ring work in making things grow a bit, but it also projects your package as well.  The sides of the pouch are open, allowing for easier access and, um, wrap-around services.  From an enhancement perspective, these hit the target dead on!  The downside is that because you’re fitted into a c-ring, they’re not the most comfortable for dailywear.  Don’t get me wrong, these were perfectly comfort for a night out.  I wore these for several hours in the evening and wasn’t bothered a bit.  I’m just not sure I’d be as comfortable under my business suit sitting in meetings.

As a boxer brief, there is a full pouch.  The boxer brief has short legs to help give it a sexy look.  I found this to be fine for wearing out but don’t think I’d select them for dailywear.  I also tried the Fill It brief and found these to be more comfortable.  I really like the look of the short boxer and would probably select these over the briefs from a sexiness standpoint.

The Intymen Fill It Boxer is made from 92% Cotton / 8% Spandex.  The result is a comfort cottony feel with enough give to keep them comfortable on not stretch out.

The Intymen Fill It Boxer is only $19.80 at Underwear Station, appropriate pricing for what you get.  The Intymen Fill It Boxer is available in black or white.  I look forward to my other upcoming review on the Intymen Fill It Brief and don’t forget to check out my last review on the Intymen Sexy Boxer (nice!)..

It’s always fun trying out a new brand of underwear you haven’t tried before.  For me, the latest new brand entering my drawer is Intymen, thanks to Underwear Station.  The first of a few reviews will be on the Intymen Sexy Boxer.

intymen-sexy-boxer butt

The Intymen Sexy Boxer is the cut of a boxer brief – bit longer legs and no fly.  For me, I am a huge fan of boxer briefs as the weather starts to cool.  I like them not only for warmth, but for general comfort.  The Intymen Sexy Boxer is not, however, your typical boxer brief.  Made from 93% Polyester / 7% Spandex, the material is shiny, soft, smooth, and stretchy.  The material reminds me quite a bit of women’s nylons – only a little thicker.  I really like the feeling the material left me.  In fact, my wife couldn’t stop touching the material!

For fit, the pouch was quite comfortable.  The revealing sheer mesh of the pouch and inner thighs really creates a sexy look and is offset by the opaque sides and legs.  The pouch gave me plenty of support and comfort throughout the day.  Being a boxer brief, there was a full seat (of course).  Because of the fitted cut to the boxer brief, the legs held in place and didn’t ride up on me – nor were they restrictive.  In the center of the rear is a back seam to help highlight your butt.  I didn’t find any discomfort with the center seam.

The Intymen Sexy Boxer is only $21.56 at Underwear Station.  This is a reasonable buy or the look and feel you get from these boxer briefs.  For value, I would rate the price quite appropriate for what you get.  The Intymen Sexy Boxer is available in black or white.  I look forward to my other upcoming reviews on the Intymen Fill It Brief and Fill It Boxer.

Grundies Aussie Flag Fit Short – A Men’s Underwear Review

Reviewed by Frank

How Patriotic did I feel when I received my very own pair of underwear with my home flag printed all over them. Australians all let us rejoice for we have Grundies underwear……. Likewise I felt just as patriotic when I also received a pair of Blue Bum Talk Shorts, proudly made down under.  Check out the story on Grundies for a bit of a background on this unique brand.

Grundies have a range of inventive designs in the Fit Short range, which should suit everyone’s tastes. Recently, I received two different graphic styles – a pair of blue Bum Talk Shorts and a pair of Aussie Flag Fit Shorts. Shayne, another menswear reviewer has recently reviewed the Bum Talk Short range in black; have a look at his review.

The Front of the Fit short sees the start of the flag pattern which continues through to the back. I was at first a little skeptical of the “shorts” style to these underwear as I have always been an briefs kind of guy; I was, however,  pleasantly surprised at the amount of support that was offered in the Aussie Flat Fit Shorts. Once worn, the shorts develops a kind of memory in the material which makes for extra comfort in front.

The back hugs to the butt and, once again, I was surprised at how much support was offered in these “shorts” style underwear. All of the support and hugging offered in the rear of the underwear made me feel and look like I had the best butt around.

The top has a one inch elasticized band with the Grundies Logo printed all the way around the underwear; I had a few friends comment when my shirt lifted up and they were able to see the waistband (commenting on how they loved the logo and the band  - even asking where they could get a pair from). At the bottom of each leg is a white cotton band, which I found to be a little loose and seemed to ride up at the rear.
The Aussie Flag Fit Short is made of cotton with 10% elastane which makes for a very comfy fit. I did find that the fabric pilled and faded slightly after a couple of washes, however, after the first couple of washes this settled down.

I wore both medium and large sizes, both of which were equally comfy (I am a 36”waist). Overall I found the Fit Short comfy, stylish and reasonably priced. To know that they are 100% Australian owned and made makes me feel proud to be an Australian.

Where to buy: Show or patriotism or for your love of Australia, visit Grundies own online store. Some fantastic bargains to be had for the month of October.

Obviously NEW Autumn Change Low Rise Boxer Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

As you’ve read here earlier, like yesterday, Obviously has released its NEW Autumn Change Collection. If you’re new to the Autumn Change Collection, read my post here.  The selection of colors really does match the changing seasons and all are quite striking.

Autumn Change, Obviously’s new line of autumn colors is available in briefs, boxer briefs, jocks and thongs (full and lowrise) – check out my reviews from the Autumn Change Collection on the Full Cut Boxer Brief, and Low Rise Brief.

Today’s review is on Obviously’s Autumn Change Lowrise Boxer Brief.  The pair I tried came in their new Glacier color, a stunning blue-green color.  As with the other items in the Autumn Change collection, the material is made from a Modal/Lycra blend, creating a soft, shiny material.  I found the Glacier color to be a really beautiful color.  The color is somewhat difficult to describe and is even better in person.  The blue-green color is vivid (enhanced by the sheen) without being obnoxious.  As is the style for Autumn Change, the waistband is three-striped with the Obviously logo.  The label is a heat pressed care label which completely eliminates the itchy feeling of a tagged label.   With the Glacier coloring, it’s really nice refined look.

The Obviously Autumn Change Lowrise Men’sBoxer Brief was incredibly comfortable for me.  All their accolades on how comfortable they are, continue to be true.  I had just slight riding up of the material on the legs, but nothing that was too distracting.  The pouch of the lowrise boxer brief is designed to let your package hang naturally, in an unrestricted anatomically correct position.  The pouch is of the perfect size without any extra material to take away from the look.  The material of the Lowrise Boxer Brief is the same as the other items in the Autumn Change Collection, made from a modal/lycra blend which is silky, shiny, and stretchy.  Because of the stretchy nature, the pouch accommodates men of all sizes and allows for, er, growth when needed.  Whether you’re a grower or a shower, you should find these quite comfortable.  If you haven’t tried anatomically correct underwear, you don’t know what you’re missing.  The anatomic design lets your boys hang out and down as they should.  The immediate benefit is comfort, but extra benefits include no sticking, squashing, readjusting, or chaffing.

Now, the Obviously Lowrise Brief does sit lower at the waist in comparison to the Full Cut and and is considered a fitted design.  In comparing these to the Full Cut Boxer Brief, the look was similar, but would say sexier with the Low Rise.  Being a Boxer Brief, there was, of course, a full seat.  I found these to be very comfortable for daily wear.

All in all, I really liked the new Obviously Autumn Low Rise Men’s Boxer Briefs and can confidently recommend them to you. At about $30 (USD) /€21 they are a bit on the higher side for price.  Considering  the quality and comfort you get, they are worth it.

Grundies Bum Talk Fit Short Black – A Men’s Underwear Review

Reviewed by Shayne

grundies aussie mens underwearBeing an Aussie, I was pleased as punch to be sent my most recent package of Grundies. Grundies designs are innovative and uniquely Australian – I am glad to be able to add their underwear to my collection. Grundies underwear was launched in early 2010 after Pacific Brands moved their iconic brand offshore. Tony Vass, an employee at the time vowed to follow a different path by not following in Pacific Brands footsteps, instead Vass invested his money wisely by starting his new underwear brand – Grundies was now officially born. The namesake of his company is derived from Australian slang for undies – “Reg Grundies” providing a fun, totally different and tongue in cheek approach to the marketplace.

Vass is a staunchly proud Australian and maintains his pride in his nation by utilising Australia’s best underwear designers and local manufacturing facilities. It is important for Vass to manufacture locally, investing in local jobs and producing top quality garments to the marketplace.

Vass proud of his Australian heritage, embraces the iconic images of Australia such as the Australian flag and the Southern Cross in his designs. However, at the basis of his philosophy is to provide quality Australian made underwear at an affordable price for all.

Grundies have a range of garments, I am sure that you will love. Grundies have three basic ranges of underwear: Originals, Aussie and Signature. Within the signature range there are two basic styles – The Bum Talk Fit Short range and The Scrawl Fit Short range.

Quality:  Grundies uses quality local materials in the construction of this garment by using a blend of cotton and elastane, which adds to comfort level. Additionally, Grundies added to this comfort level by using no tags in their garments and using inside out stitching in all their garments. This reduces the common complaint of scratching commonly witnessed with other brands. Totally innovative! Grundies is a great garment to wear for all occasions: work, sport and pleasure. An all rounder garment that everyone must own.

Design: The Bum Talk Fit Short Black boxer briefs are modern yet comfortable. The boxer brief uses the black and white contrast in a subtle yet alluring manner. The 1.5” black waistband does not dig into your waistline. The Grundies logo is emblazoned across the waistband adding to the character of the garment. The same logo but larger is featured across the seat of the boxer briefs.  You will love the youthfulness of these boxer briefs and it will be certain to make you look and feel like gods gift from heaven. They have used their signature across the back of the garment to add a focus point, which will give your admirers something to read whilst staring at your butt. Who does not like a little admiration?

The front of the boxer briefs feature the classic cut of a boxer brief with no Y-front fly, which is a pleasure. To add further comfort and definition to the boxer briefs, Grundies have provided ample room for those of us who need the room. Additionally, they have double stitched the crotch to add a focus point for your admirers.

Fit: The shorter cut of the legs and the selection of quality materials add to the comfort and fit of this garment. I wore these all day at work and did not find that I need to readjust the garment at all during the day. They are a great all round underwear that can be used for work, sport and pleasure. I found that it provided enough support while not being uncomfortable to wear. However, they would have been a sexier cut if they added ribbing to accentuate and further support your package. The rear of the boxer briefs provided a nice rear view whilst remaining comfortable to wear due to the lack of additional stitched found in its competitors.

Grundies are available exclusively online at http://www.grundies.com.au. Grundies have a range of exciting designs for guys that will give you that sporty yet youthful look. If you love Aussies, you will definitely love this brand. If you love their Signature range they start at a great price – a bargain at $25 AUD. At the beginning of 2011, Grundies is venturing into a women’s line that I am sure will look just as sexy and innovative.

Sexy Boxer Shorts with Extended Penis Glove – A Men’s Underwear Review

Reviewed by Shayne

HoHoWear have a range of underwear from basic briefs, boxers and g-strings to the more erotic and sexy underwear for the daring man in us all. The erotic wear, party wear and penis gloves will surely raise a few eyebrows and lend to an interesting night in the bedroom. HoHoWear have been selling their range of garments for five years now, at the moment if you sign up on their email list you will get 10% discount at the checkout. What better way to steam up the bedroom or give your partner something sexy to look at.hoho boxer brief penis glove We reviewed the brief version earlier this week, and gave the brief higher scores than we did the boxer brief.

Front: The Extended Penis Glove comes in six colours: red, black, aqua, apple green, white and purple. It is exactly what the name suggests: underwear that safely and seductively fits your manhood like a glove. However, the brief cut of the boxers does not leave enough room to accommodate for us men whom are larger endowed in girth and length. Additionally, the cut does not take into account those with ample testicles. I found that I constantly had to readjust myself to ensure that I did not pop out.

Back: The rear of the boxer shorts was extremely sheer, similar to a Brazilian cut. I found this extremely uncomfortable and it kept riding up when wearing it all day.

Fabric and Fit: The garment is made of 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex, providing a somewhat comfortable fit. The material is very shiny and seductive in appearance but tended to be too hot on a hot summers day in Australia. However, I think that HoHoWear need to provide different sizes to allow the garment to mould to your body more effectively. The garment seemed to bunch up a fair bit on me, however, this may differ for those guys that are a bit beefier.

Style: The design and style of the penis glove was extremely sexy. During a night of unbridled passion, the cut allowed your partner to see what you were packing even before unwrapping the package. However, the glove did not leave much room for growth for those of us who are more endowed in the manhood department. I was surprised that the one size fits all does exactly that – but it did.

Quality: From first looks, the garment is well-machined, however, over time and considerable wear the garment’s stitching may unravel. For a sexy night’s underwear that will certainly raise eyes and “more” it is definitely worth it!

Where to buy: http://www.hohowear.com for under $10 USD a pair.

Good Devil Mesh Boxer – A Men’s Underwear Review

It’s a good time to be a little devilish!

good devil mens underwear

If you’ve been following Menswear Review, you’ve read some of the recent Good Devil, a new men’s underwear brand, reviews.  In particular the Mesh Brief, Propel Thong, and Zoom Boxer.  Good Devil promotes the notion of  having a devilishly good time!

Good Devil really does have some super sexy underwear styles for guys who are extremely brave and even for those a bit more conservative.good devil mesh boxer white

The Good Devil Mesh Boxer I tried was in a lovely blue.  The mesh boxer, just like the brief, is also available in black, white, and red.  In addition, you can get them with a plain rear or one with a dragon print across the back.

The blue Good Devil Sheer Mesh Boxer I tried was very sexy and reminded me quite a bit of the Bumgear Mesh I’ve come to love.  The blue mesh certainly leaves nothing to hide, but because of the color you end up with a hot, sexy pair of men’s underwear that doesn’t look like you’re trashy.  Is there such thing as erotic classy?

The mesh boxer is part of the Good Devil Mesh range and is made from the same soft and stretchy blend of 92% Nylon and 8% Spandex as their Mesh Brief.  The sexy see through sheer fabric allows your package to breath while showing off glory.

In front, I found a contoured pouch. The sheer mesh material and the contoured pouch lifted my boys nicely and really enhanced my profile.  I was very comfortable in these all day, and all night!  In back, I found a full seat (of course since it’s a boxer) that was very comfortable.

The overall craftsmanship of these briefs is great.  Sometimes, it can be a challenge to create a sheer mesh brief due to the delicate nature of the mesh itself, causing the material to tear or pull away from the seams.  The quality was evident in Good Devil through the use of rolled seams and quality material.

All-in-all, a big hit for Good Devil and their men’s sheer mesh underwear.  If you’re looking for sexy evening underwear or simply daily wear, this is it.  For more information on Good Devil, check out the Good Devil website.  To pick up a pair for yourself, they are available now at Underwear Station and Mensuas.
