Jake Joseph Trouser Boxer: a Men’s Underwear Review
This past spring, I had the opportunity to try a new designer of men’s underwear, Jake Joseph. At that time, I wrote a review on the Jake Joseph boxer brief. The boxer brief was a classic, elegant look.
Today’s review is on the Jake Joseph Trouser Boxer. This boxer, like their boxer brief, is a fresh modern twist on a classic design.
Fit: The overall fit of the boxer is a tapered version of the traditional boxer. The qualities you’d expect of in the fit of a boxer are there: comfortable, free hanging feel, soft cotton, easy waistband. The double snap elastic waistband not only adds additional functionality, but adds to the retro look as well. The seat is the modern twist that I appreciated most. While I generally like the feel of a boxer, I dread wearing them under jeans as the material tends to bunch up too much. With the Jake Joseph Trouser Boxer, they tapered the seat just enough to still give you the comfort of the boxer without adding all of the extra material you don’t need. In addition to the tapered seat, I was pleasantly surprised to find CONTINUE READING THE REST OF THE REVIEW »
PIPE Unbeaten Jock Square Cut Brief: A Menswear Review
Reviewed by Shayne
**FEATURE ITEM – MEN’S HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE**
Pipe have been wise in their marketing of this product featuring uber sexy videos and photo stills to capture audiences. I must admit that I bought into their campaign. Their underwear caught my eye and I was ecstatic when I recently received a pair of my own to review. Warning: these are low rise and will definitely show off your physique and are designed to be low cut to show your pleasure trail towards heaven.
This low rise, square cut boxer brief is an extremely sexy and sporty design that epitomizes the word JOCK. Pipe have thought about design in these trunks and have used this skill to create optical illusions to help accentuate the male physique. These trunks are fit for jocks and those that love jocks – you or your man will look like gods gift in these. Well worth it for the price!
Design
I am starting to love underwear that features a wide waistband and Pipe is no exception. This boxer brief features a 1.5” faded black waistband emblazoned with stars in a variety of sizes, their trademark PIPE logo and the word JOCK. The graphics are complemented with red, white and black to create a very youthful looking garment. They have continued the use of the white and black throughout the briefs by using white striping to accentuate the pouch and to help frame your tush. Pipe do not use any form of enhancing technology (not that it needs it). It already creates enough definition where it is needed. The white striping is continued down the sides of the boxer briefs; again making them look very sporty.
Fabric
Pipe have used a blend of cotton (93%) and spandex (7%), which does exactly what they have designed – it mould to every inch of your body. It makes your butt look round and pert, helps create definition in the pouch and shapes your thighs (for those of us lucky enough to have muscled thighs). The only downfall is the ribbing – they have used a glossy non-fabric material, which will eventually fade.
Fit
These are one of the most comfortable pair of underwear I have had the pleasure to wear. The combination of cotton and spandex creates a very sculptured fit and definitely shapes your bodily features very nicely. The ribbing accentuates what god has naturally given you, although, I would suggest that you would need to be careful when laundering these beauties. I wore these all day to work and had no problems at all with comfort. I would suggest sizing up slightly, I wore a large when I normally fluctuate between small and medium.
Quality
The Quality is overall quite well made, however, Pipe does need to be a bit more careful with their machining, especially the overlocking stitching around the pouch. There are also some stray strands of cotton and some cost cutting measures in the production. Although these are only minor when knowing the end result – a damn sexy brief that will definitely turn heads when you walk through the gym or when you get home after a hard day at work or after a run.
Where to Buy
The Pipe Unbeaten range can be purchased direct through http://www.pipeunderwear.com or at Banglads. These are a definite must for anyone serious about underwear who wants a very modern, sexy and functional garment. You can pick up a pair for $26 USD – a small price for beauty.

Intymen Fill It Boxer – A Men’s Underwear Review
Reviewed by Dan
You may have read my last review on Intymen, the latest new brand entering my drawer, thanks to Underwear Station. The is the second of a few reviews on Intymen. Today’s review is on the Intymen Fill It Boxer.
The Intymen Fill It Boxer is really more like the cut of a trunk – shorter legs. As you know by now, I like boxer briefs as the weather starts to cool. I like them not only for warmth, but for general comfort. The Intymen Fill It Boxer Brief was great for a night out, but not necessarily for dailywear.
For looks, the Fill It Boxer is pretty sexy – short legs and the Fill It pouch enhancement. The boxer gets its name, Fill It, because that’s exactly what you do. The boxer brief is similar to what you’d typically find, withe one big difference. In the pouch, there is a hole for sticking your package through. The hole serves as a built in c-ring to enhance your profile. Not only does the c-ring work in making things grow a bit, but it also projects your package as well. The sides of the pouch are open, allowing for easier access and, um, wrap-around services. From an enhancement perspective, these hit the target dead on! The downside is that because you’re fitted into a c-ring, they’re not the most comfortable for dailywear. Don’t get me wrong, these were perfectly comfort for a night out. I wore these for several hours in the evening and wasn’t bothered a bit. I’m just not sure I’d be as comfortable under my business suit sitting in meetings.
As a boxer brief, there is a full pouch. The boxer brief has short legs to help give it a sexy look. I found this to be fine for wearing out but don’t think I’d select them for dailywear. I also tried the Fill It brief and found these to be more comfortable. I really like the look of the short boxer and would probably select these over the briefs from a sexiness standpoint.
The Intymen Fill It Boxer is made from 92% Cotton / 8% Spandex. The result is a comfort cottony feel with enough give to keep them comfortable on not stretch out.
The Intymen Fill It Boxer is only $19.80 at Underwear Station, appropriate pricing for what you get. The Intymen Fill It Boxer is available in black or white. I look forward to my other upcoming review on the Intymen Fill It Brief and don’t forget to check out my last review on the Intymen Sexy Boxer (nice!)..

(B)rief Underneath – A New Concept in Menswear
(B)rief Underneath is a new brand of underwear being introduced in the market. The basic premise behind the underwear is its 2-in1 design of briefs sown in boxer briefs, lounge pants, and thermals. The line will position itself between high-end and mid-tier markets in 2010. There will be 48 styles and will be sold through 600 department stores across the US. Prices will range from $18-$32.
This leaves me with a bit of a dilemma on how to rate these. I’ve decide to rate them on if I wanted to buy a 2-in1. I’ll leave the decision to you on if you want them all together or if you prefer to buy these types of things separately.

Testing Day – Big Boys Pants
Look for a full review in the next couple of days. The way I like to review products is to wear them for a full day (today’s a 14 hour work day), give them a wash and try them again. I’ve found from past experience, with different brands, that sometimes they feel great the first time you put them on but fall short after a day’s wearing – so far, soooo good.
BumGear Mesh Boxers- check ‘em out!
BumGear has, perhaps, the best pair of mesh boxers I’ve worn. I must say, I originally bought these for a special weekend away. I had anticipated these to be super sexy but not very comfortable – boy was I wrong!!
The mesh material is extremely soft with good stretch (94% polyester/6% spandex), the waistband is comfortable, and they fit perfectly. These are so comfortable they are now part of my daily wear selection (in fact I’m wearing them now). I picked these up at Erogenos for $28. They’re on the higher end for price, but worth every penny.
You really need to check these out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!
