N2N Bodywear Luxe Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

Luxury is the first thing that comes to mind after putting on the N2N Bodwear Luxe Brief.  I’ve written a number of reviews on N2N products and have been consistently impressed with what I’ve found; the Luxe Brief (DC1) is no different in excelling in their category!
The N2N Luxe Brief really aligns itself with being a luxury brief – from material choice to craftmanship.  While the Luxe line (brief, boxer brief, and jock) which comes in either black or white isn’t going to win any awards for funky patterns or wild colors, it could easily win an award for luxury, classic men’s underwear.
The material in the Luxe Brief is comprised from a mix of 92% Polyester and 8% Spandex.  The result of this blend is a silky-soft, stretchy material that wraps and stretches to your body.  The material has a unique pearl shine to it and is thin enough when stretched over your manhood to give a glimpse of what you’ll find inside.
The pouch, when combined with the stretchy fabric, is very comfortable and supportive. I found this to be comfortable for all day wearing and didn’t need to do any adjusting during the day. What I like about this pouch and the fabric itself is that should you find yourself in some happy situation and you, er, swell at any point, the pouch and fabric move with you instead of binding you uncomfortably in.

As for the rear, I once again find a full seat from N2N Bodywear.  As I’ve stated time and time again, if you’re looking for all day comfort, you need a full seat to avoid the wedgie effect.

So, all-in-all, I’m quite please with the N2N Bodywear Luxe men’s brief.  I’ll be posting a review of the Luxe men’s boxer-brief soon so keep an eye out for that.  At $20 (USD) this is a great price for such a fine pair of men’s underwear.  I definitely recommend these to you for daily wear or for a nice night out.  Check out N2N’s own online store.

Schultz Coming Soon Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

As I’ve stated before, Schultz Jeans make more than just fantastic jeans… they make awesome underwear too!

“Coming Soon” men’s underwear briefs are my latest find from Schultz. You may recall that I reviewed their “I Want Out” boxer brief a week or so ago and had wonderful things to say about them.  As for their briefs, simply awesome!

The Schultz Coming Soon briefs are one of favorite briefs I have – and I have a lot!  These are one of those briefs that you pull out when you can’t decide what to wear and all you’re sure of is you want comfort.  And, not only are these incredibly comfortable, they’re a great look too!

The briefs are made from the same 100% ribbed cotton as their boxer briefs.  The result, comfortable cotton feel.  As I’ve stated, these are one of those staple, “I know I’ll be comfortable all day” briefs.  Aside from the comfortable, quality grade cotton, the cut of the briefs are right on.  Ample room in front to support you for all-day wearing, a full seat that doesn’t give you wedgies, and soft cotton to keep you comfortable.  Quite honestly, I can’t think of anything  I didn’t like about these briefs.

For the front, Schultz uses a fly front.  While most guys don’t use the “fly” part, it’s there if you want it.  What the fly opening does do for the brief, is add to the masculine, athletic look.  From the use of primary colors and bold contrasts, Schultz has created a handsome brief.

Overall, a fantastic pair of briefs.  At £17.50 (aprx $27 USD), they are on the higher end of men’s underwear – but definitely worth the price you pay.  For the full selection of “themes” check out their site at www.schultzjeans.com.

AWARE SoHo Sports Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

UPDATE (6/14/10):  When AWARE says they listen to their customers, they’re not kidding.  Below, I wrote that the pouch was just a smidge snug.  Well, they’ve made the pouch deeper and roomier.  I’m thinking near perfect brief now!!

****************************************************************************************

I’ve recently come across the brand AWARE SoHo, an up and coming brand spreading it’s name across the globe.  After a bit of research on AWARE SoHo, I’ve come to learn that because they are a younger, smaller brand, they have the ability to make changes to their designs relatively quickly.  Customers had asked for lycra in addition to the cotton – done.  Customers asked to adjust the elastic on the leg bands – done.  Being able to be responsive to buyers needs is likely what has enabled this brand to grow as it has.

I have received a variety of items from AWARE SoHo, with the first review being on their Sports Brief.  the AWARE SoHo men’s Sports Brief is a very attractive, masculine brief.  I must say, one of the things I really like about this brand is the tasteful blend of colors.  Whoever is designing the colors needs a raise!  The contrasting of the base color with the waistband and again with the piping around your package all make this a fun, masculine, sexy pair of men’s underwear.  I’ve selected a few pictures from the Sports Brief range, but there are many more.  You’ll need to go to AWARE SoHo’s site to see all the color combos.

The fabric of the Sports Briefs are a blend of 95% Cotton / 5% Lycra.  I always like when brands add a bit of Lycra or Elastane to cotton as it gives the wonderfully soft cotton feel with the needed stretch of the Lycra.  The grade of material used in these briefs is quite high, adding to the high quality standard of this brand.  In addition to the quality fabric, overall quality craftsmanship was evident.  Of note, are the rolled and flat seams to eliminate rubs and irritation.

On fit, I was comfortable in these briefs – considering they are a sports brief.  I hate to say it, but I’ve really become spoiled with brands that have a full pouch design.  The AWARE SoHo Sports Briefs are a labeled as a sports brief and are, therefor, a bit more snug in the pouch.  If you like a snug feel, you’ll love these briefs.  I’ve worn these a couple of times now and have been quite comfortable in my daily wearing of them.  My only critique, a small one, would be to add a tad more fabric for the front.  When wearing and showing these off, you may like a bit more room, if you know what I mean.

The waistband and leg bands were comfortable, and the brief sports a full rear end.  Overall, I really did enjoy these and have worn them a couple of times now. Check back for some additional reviews of AWARE SoHo – I have some great things to tell. ;-)

Groovin’ Lowrise Wide Waistband Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

Last week, I wrote about the Goovin , a relative newcomer to men’s underwear.  This Japanese owned company specializing in men’s underwear.

Goovin‘ tells me that they look to accentuate the male form through fun, vibrant styles. And, after reviewing two styles now, I say, SCORE!   My first review of Groovin’ men’s underwear was on their Lowrise Hip Brief, which I loved.  This review is on the Groovin’ Lowrise Wide Waistband Brief.

The Groovin’ Lowrise Wide Waistband Brief is just launching and will be in stores soon.  The pair I reviewed was a very attractive purple pair.  The Lowrise Wide Waistband brief is very similar to the regular Lowrise Hip Brief I reviewed earlier.  The fit and finish of the material, backside, and pouch are near identical – yippee!  The main difference between the two is really the wider waistband.

The Groovin’ Lowrise Wide Waistband Hip Brief is made from a blend of 92% nylon and 8% lycra – creating the same soft fabric as I loved in the regular Lowrise Hip Brief.  I love the bit of a shine that these have to it.

Being lowrise could be problamatic, but not for Groovin’.  With the regular Lowrise Hip Brief and the Wide Waistband Lowrise Hip Brief, they sit comfortably at your hips and have full butt coverage.

For the pouch, it was very comfortable.  The stretchy nature of the fabric will allows for variations in one’s pouch size and supported me well.  On bonus feature of the soft stretchy material Groovin‘ uses, is that the material does mold to your manhood to offer an aesthetically pleasing look.

All in all, these are a sexy, comfortable, fun pair of underwear.  This particular style, the Lowrise Brief, and Groovin’s other styles are on list of favorites.  I can easily recommend them to you.  I’ll be posting a review on their string bikini and their cup boxer soon too.

I don’t have a price on the WideWaistband yet, but the regular waistband was quite reasonably priced at $16.99 (USD), a great value for the money.

You can find Groovin’ online through Amazon, http://www.groovin.sg, and http://. Hopefully we will see Groovin‘ more widely available as they are actively looking for local or regional partnerships.

Groovin’ Lowrise Hip Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

A week ago or so, I wrote about Goovin, a relative newcomer to men’s underwear.  This Japanese owned company specializing in men’s underwear.

Goovin‘ tells me that they look to accentuate the male form through fun, vibrant styles. I say, Goal Achieved!  I have had the opportunity to review four different pairs of Groovin’ men’s underwear, with this being the first.  My first Groovin’ review is on their Lowrise Hip Brief.

The Groovin’ Lowrise Hip Brief comes in some fun vibrant colors.  The pair I tried was in a very vibrant orange – a fun color for summertime.  The lowrise hip brief is made from a blend of 92% nylon and 8% lycra.  Being a nylon/lycra blend, the fabric is quite soft with a bit of a shine to it – nice bonus when you compliment with the vibrant colors.

When I look at the pictures, knowing they were lowrise, I wasn’t sure how they’d fit.  Well, I must say, they were fantastic.  While being lowrise, they were extremely comfortable with where they rested on my hips, and (hooray) they have full rear-end coverage!

For the pouch, they were perfect for me.  Between the way they are assembled, in combination with the fabric, I head plenty of room and was full supported.  The stretchy nature of the fabric will certainly allow for variations in one’s pouch size.

All in all, these are a sexy, comfortable, fun pair of underwear.  I’m actually wearing the Groovin’ Wide Waist Lowrise Hip Brief today and am equally satisfied, look for a review on those soon.  This particular style, the Lowrise Brief, and Groovin’s other styles are on list of favorites.  I can easily recommend them to you.  Quite reasonably priced at $16.99 (USD), they’re a great value for the money.

Groovin’ Underwear

Goovin‘, a relative newcomer to men’s underwear, is a Japanese owned company specializing in men’s underwear.  I recently stumbled across this brand and wanted to find out more about them and their product ranges.  You’ll see some reviews on Goovin‘ coming up in the next few weeks.

Goovin‘ looks to accentuate the male form through fun, vibrant styles.  In looking through their website, www.groovin.sg, they have some styles and colors that should get you noticed!  One of the reasons I may not of heard of Goovin‘ before is that retail locations are found in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, and not the states.  They are, though, available online through Amazon’s online store and are looking for local or regional partnerships.  Perhaps we’ll see them soon.

I’m really looking forward to the reviews on Goovin‘ – stay tuned!

N2N Waistband Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

Yesterday, I posted a review on N2N’s Waistband Collection Bikini.  And, over the past few weeks, I’ve reviewed a number of other items from N2N’s 2010 Collection.   Well, today’s review is on N2N’s Waistband Brief, with a review on the Boxer coming soon.

N2N’s Waistband Brief (UN52) is very similar to the Waistband Bikini I reviewed yesterday. The primary difference between the two is really the amount of material on the hips.

Made from from the same quality Cotton (90%) / Spandex (10%) blend of the Bikini, I found the material cottony soft.  The addition of the Spandex helps the briefs keep their form and mold to you.  The simple, yet attractive, 1.5″ waistband was comfortable, as were the leg bands.  The waistband has the contrasting red detailing to give the brief a sporty, masculine look.

The pouch was very comfortable and supportive for me.  While the pouch is not an “enhancing” pouch, it certainly does show things off nicely – especially with the red detailing around the pouch.  Your manhood does slide into a pouch that is both comfortable and supportive, as I said earlier.  Some pouch styles are just for enhancement and lack support, this pouch really seems to be designed for comfort and support with enhancing be the side effect.  And, as always, the N2N Waistband Brief features a full rear-end.  The butt coverage was comfortable and didn’t ride up once.

Overall, I love the new N2N Waistband Brief.  I really have a hard time deciding if I like the bikini, brief, or boxer best – it really depends on my mood.  So, if you’d like less material, go with the bikini or more material, go with the boxer or brief – either way, you can’t go wrong with the Waistband Collection.  I can easily recommend these to you and have and are now one of my favorites.

Reasonably priced at $19 (USD) you can’t go wrong, they’re a great buy!

Tribe Burn Out Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

Over the past several months, I’ve had the opportunity to review a number of underwear styles from Tribe.  Without exception, I have been pleased with what I find from Tribe: quality, unique fabrics, comfort.  Tribe is another quality men’s brand from down under.

Today’s review on Tribe’s Burn Out Brief is no exception to what I’ve historically found with Tribe.  The Burn Out Brief that I tried is part of Tribe’s Standard Brief Cut.  The Burn Out fabric is also available in the Slim Side Cut for those that like a bit less material (more of a bikini fit than brief fit).  The Standard Brief cut is different from what you may find in other brand’s brief cut.  I would tend to say that it is somewhere between bikini and lowrise brief (see pictures).  The main difference is that the Standard is cut wider on the hip than the Slim Side.

On comfort, I found the standard brief in the Burn Out fabric to be very comfortable.  While it’s a lowrise, there is adequate rear-end coverage and it sits high enough that you don’t feel like they’re falling down (sometime too much of a lowrise creates this feeling).  For pouch comfort, it’s adequate and comfortable.  It’s not a true pouch front but it’s not a flat front either.

What I liked most about the Burn Out Brief is the fabric.  Tribe really has some very unique fabrics that you don’t find anywhere else.  The Burn Out fabric is sheer with patterns of velvety material on top.  The combination peeks the viewers interest with out giving away the whole picture.  Let’s just say they left my wife wanting to see more. :-)  The fabric is very soft and has a luxury feel to it.  Truly, very comfortable for all day, or all night.

Like most Tribe underwear, the Burn Out Brief has made my favorite’s list and can easily recommend them to you.  Priced at roughly $24 (USD) they are an excellent buy considering the comfort, quality, and unique material.  To find out more about Tribe’s Burn Out Brief or any of their other designs, check out their website.

Lodoli La Bomba Enhancing Briefs – A Men’s Underwear Review

Do your boys need a lift?  If they do, I’ve got a new pair of men’s underwear for you.  A relatively new brand who’s being noticed around the world is Lodoli (after designer Roland Lodoli) out of Croatia.

Lodoli has underwear, sportswear and swimwear lines for both men and women.  For this review, we’ll be looking at Lodoli’s enhancing underwear, in particular the La Bomba.  The La Bomba is the man’s version of the push-up bra – similar to aussieBum’s Wonder Jock.  Actually, the La Bomba is extremely similar to the Wonder Jock.  Inside the pouch is a smaller pouch sewn in where you place your boys. The resulting effecting is a lifting and enhancing look.  For me, this is much more comfortable than a strap or some other mechanism to lift things up.

After a day’s wearing, I can honestly say these were quite comfortable.  I’m always a bit skeptical of enhancing underwear  – some work as they should but comfort is sacrificed as a result; for Lodoli‘s La Bomba, they enhance AND are comfortable!

The La Bomba are made from 100% cotton, which typically concerns me as 100% cotton often stretches out and sags.  While La Bomba is made from 100% cotton, the piping around the pouch and legs, along with the quality grade of cotton, kept the shape and form quite well.

For comfort, I mentioned already that I found the pouch to be comfortable for the day’s wearing.   In addition, I found the leg bands and to be comfortable too.  The leg bands grip your leg comfortably – snug enough to keep them in place, but not too restrictive.  The waistband is made from typical elastic.  While comfortable enough, it’s the one recommendation I could make to Lodoli for upgrading.  Last, and critical for me, is the rear coverage. I’m happy to report that the La Bomba has a full seat that was also very comfortable.

All in all, I can say these are a quality, comfortable pair of men’s underwear that indeed enhances your profile without sacrificing comfort.  I can comfortable recommend them to you and have added them to my list of favorites.  At roughly $17.50 USD (rough conversion) they’re a reasonable buy for a quality pair of men’s underwear.

I’ll be posting a review in the next few days on Lodoli‘s Roky boxer brief made from micromodal and their RP Ero, their semi-sheer boxer brief.  Look for these additional reviews in the next few days.

3rd Beach Underwear – A Men’s Underwear Review

Guest Review
By:  Cody

Based in Cape Town, South Africa, four local entrepreneurs combined their skills and expertise and soon after, 3rd Beach was born.  Clifton Beach in Cape Town is made up of four coves and the beaches are called 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.  The name obviously refers to the third beach.  Their website says 3rd beach is the most renowned, yet it is the fourth beach that is a Blue Flag Beach.
3rd Beach has three styles to choose from: Classic Brief, Sports Brief and Boxer Brief.  Each style has four different color combinations largely made up of a simple color swap between blue and pink.

On fit, the leg seam rise on all styles are all very high and all fit very snug.  I am a size 28 waist and the sizing guide states a small is for 29-30 inch waists; yet the small fits me very tightly.  As a personal preference I like the tight fit yet you may not and could order a size up and easily achieve the fit you’re more used to.

The waistband is an average 1.5 inches thick.  Where the waistband connects and is sewn together in the back the branding name tends to run together.  A few brands nowadays are starting to catch this and label their waistbands only once or twice to avoid it.  This is a big pet peeve of mine and usually the first thing I look for when purchasing new underwear.
The fabric of the underwear consists of 94% cotton and 6% elastane.  Most brands I own that are made primarily of cotton tend to stretch throughout the day making them saggy and loose (especially in the legs.)  3rd Beach, however, maintains its shape and fit.  One of the downsides of this brand is that they still use the common sew-on tag for branding and care instructions.  Although it is not an itchy uncomfortable one, it just irks me that it’s there.  As a fix, you can always cut off the tag – but you shouldn’t have to.

The purchase price ranges from $22-$27 based on the style.  Despite the sew-on tag and the mashed lettering waistband I would still purchase these again.  Mostly due to the originality (how many brands of underwear do you own from South Africa?)  The fact that the legs don’t become saggy after a few hours of wearing them also makes me very happy.

If you do order from their website and live in the USA it’s best to purchase at least three pairs simply for the savings on shipping.  If you purchase one or two items the shipping costs a whopping $31.72 but they discount the shipping on orders of three or more to $8.08.  Basically, you can buy three pairs for the same price as two.

N2N Bodywear 2010 Twilight Brief – A Men’s Underwear Review

Yesterday, I wrote on N2N’s 2010 Twilight Trunk and reviewed N2N’s Twilight Bikini a week or so ago – both of which I loved.

Today’s review is on N2N’s Twilight Brief (UN19).  The Twilight Brief is made from same soft cotton/spandex blend as their bikini and trunk.  The cotton/spandex blend creates a soft ribbed cottony feel with the right amount of stretch to support and and create comfort.  The pouch on the brief is similar to that of the trunk – a flatter front that stretches as needed.  The pouch area was comfortable and formed to me which allowed me to be comfortable all day in these.  If  had to compare, I do prefer the more pronounced pouch of the bikini.  Still, though, I was quite comfortable.

The Twilight brief has a 1.5″ braided waistband which was soft and comfortable. As a brief, there was full rear-end coverage.  If you’ve been following me you know that is a key comfort factor for me.  It’s one thing for underwear to look sexy, but it needs to be comfortable too – and that includes NO WEDGIES!  As I think back, every pair of N2N that I’ve worn has had adequate butt coverage (except for the thongs and jocks of course).

All in all, I found the Twilight Brief to follow suit with the N2N Twilight Bikini and Twilight Trunk – a comfortable, sexy, masculine pair of men’s underwear.  Just as the other Twilight styles, I’d again recommend these to you and have placed them on my favorites list.

Reasonably priced at $18 (USD) you can’t go wrong, they’re a great buy!

N2N Bodywear 2010 Twilight Trunk – A Men’s Underwear Review

A few weeks ago, I wrote on N2N’s 2010 new men’s underwear line that recently came out and have published several reviews since.  One of these reviews was on N2N’s Twilight Bikini – which I loved.

Today’s review is on N2N’s Twilight Trunk (UN20).  The Twilight Trunk is made from a wonderfully soft cotton/spandex blend as their bikini.  The cotton/spandex blend provides a soft ribbed cottony feel with just the right amount of stretch to support and form to your body.  While the trunk doesn’t have a defined pouch like the Twilight Bikini, the very nature of the fabric forms it’s own pouch area for comfort and support.  I liked the feel of this free-forming pouch as it allowed for some movement without confinement.

The Twilight Trunk (and Twilight line for that matter) uses a 1.5″ braided waistband.  The waistband is just high enough to be comfortable without cutting into and small enough that you don’t need to be sagger to wear them.  The braided waistband was soft and comfortable.  Since this is a short trunk, there isn’t much length on the legs.  Because of this, and the leg bands, I didn’t have any problems with a riding-up feeling.  Again because of these being a mini-trunk, there is full rear end coverage which adds to the all-day comfort.

For style, it’s really a matter of taste.  While the pouch on the trunk isn’t as prominent of a look as the bikini, it’s a sexy, masculine look.  The stretchy ribbed cotton creates an attractive look by allowing your package to be defined by it’s natural position.

My only recommendation to N2N, though not a big one, would be to get rid of the sewn tag.  Most brands use the sewn tag instead of a tagless design.  Almost without exception, I cut these off as soon as I know the washing instructions.  So, like I said, not a big deal, but would be nice.

Just as awesome as N2N’s Twilight Bikini, their Twilight Trunk is a wonderful pair of men’s underwear for daily comfort.  I’d again recommend these and the Twilight line to you and have placed them on my favorites list.

Reasonably priced at $19 (USD) you can’t go wrong, they’re a great buy!

N2N Bodywear Classic Cotton Pouch Brief – An Underwear Review

As you know, I’ve reviewed a couple items from the N2N Bodywear’s 2010 Collection and have been happy with every pair of their men’s underwear I’ve tried.

Today’s review on N2N’s Classic Cotton Pouch Brief (UN12) is just as wonderful as the others I’ve tried.  Other styles within the Classic Cotton Collection include bikini, g-string, pouch boxer,  cotton boxster (which I reviewed earlier) and a v-neck t-shirt.  Check out the N2N site for more info on these styles.

The Classic Cotton Pouch Brief is made from the same light cotton/spandex blend as the Classic Cotton Boxster I reviewed earlier.  I tried the pouch brief in Violet Ice and it was almost see-thru.  It’s a 90% cotton/10 % spandex blend like the Twilight and Freedom Collections but the material is much thinner and not ribbed.  A very comfortable, soft material.

For style and comfort, I really liked the look and feel of the Cotton Pouch Brief.    The pouch on this brief lifts and holds your boys out away from your body (see close-up picture).  This creates a wonderful feel and really aides in your profile view.  After wearing these for a long day, I found the pouch to be very comfortable.

One of the things I love about N2N is that they can create a really sexy pair of underwear that still has full coverage in the rear.  What good is sexy underwear if it’s not comfortable.  The rear coverage is definitely brief but covers you completely and comfortably.

All around, another winner!  I feel like all I’m giving N2N Bodywear are 5/5 scores, but they have been consistently creating stellar underwear and have earned the high marks with their quality, style, and value.

The Classic Cotton Pouch Brief is only $17 (USD) and is available in: Burnt Orange, Navy, Black, White, Golden Mist, Violet Ice.  Again, high on my favorites list and a definite recommend.

Bon Bon Upgrade Gold Brief – A Review

Last week I wrote about the AWESOME Bon Bon Colours Collection Trunk and today I’m excited to write on the Bon Bon Upgrade Gold Brief!

The Bon Bon Upgrade Gold Briefs are made from the same fantastic 90% micro modal/10% spandex blend I wrote about in my Bon Bon Colours Trunk review.  To put it short, when you think of Bon Bon think LUXURY.  Seriously, these are incredibly soft and of really high quality.  Every aspect of this brief is a winner!  What I really love about the use of micro modal is that it’s not only incredibly soft but it’s naturally antimicrobal as well – eliminating odors when you sweat.

The waistband is a beautiful gold material and features an award-like logo patch with the little Bon Bon man hanging down.  When you look at the close-up pic you’ll see that it looks like you’ve won first prize.  Now, what you’re winning first prize for, well who knows … ;-)  I can easily give the Bon Bon Upgrade Gold a first prize and perhaps that’s what it’s supposed to represent.

For fit, I found the briefs to fit very well.  The pouch was wonderfully soft and supportive with ample stretch when needed.  The rear is full coverage and was very comfortable.  These, quite simply, are one of those pairs of underwear you’ll continue to pull out of your drawer first.

While packaging doesn’t make them feel any better, it is nice when underwear comes in attractive packaging.  With Bon Bon Upgrade Gold, they come in a nice little gold box that can be reused for something else or to be used as the wrapping itself if given as a present.

All-in-all, I absolutely love Bon Bon – both the Upgrade Gold brief I just reviewed as well as their trunk.  Available in blue or white and in a brief or trunk, you can’t go wrong.  Check out Bon Bon’s website to see more of the Upgrade Gold and their other fine collections.  A favorite of mine and highly recommended.  They are a bit pricey but well worth the money.

2eros Icon 2 Trunk and Brief – A Review

The last couple of days I’ve had the pleasure of trying out the brand new Icon 2 collection by 2eros.

Established in 2008, 2eros is a rising star on the men’s underwear scene. Based in Australia, creator Jason Hoeung is part of a new generation of underwear designers that have made the land down under the undisputed trendsetting nation when it comes to men’s underwear fashion.

Besides the high-quality products, 2eros also take the prize for best brand name. The name ‘2EROS’ can be read in two ways, either as ‘Zeros’ or ‘To Eros’. ‘Zeros’ symbolises the two circles within the 2EROS logo, which visually represents the male assets. How about that for a visual statement, huh? :)

Alternatively, Eros, the Greek god of lust and love, symbolically represents sex, male virility and passion. As a result, ‘To Eros’ can also mean ‘to the god of love’. Certainly this brand will boost any man’s confidence!

With that said, let’s get on with the review of the Icon 2 trunks and briefs.

Style

The Icon 2 trunk and briefs are classic low rise cuts. Some men can be a little intimidated when it comes to low rise underwear, fearing that it simply won’t cover up enough. Really, this is a myth and both the briefs and trunk rise just high enough on your waist so that you don’t have to walk around pulling up your underwear all the time.

I would say, though, that the trunk with its short legs is probably closer to a square cut style than your average trunk. However, this doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s a great fitting pair of underwear, which you will see below.

Pouch design

The pouch area is nicely framed by thick stitching and offers plenty of room for the average man’s package. The contours of the double-layered pouch are further accentuated by a white center stitching, which provides an eye-catching contrast to the solid color of the briefs/trunk (in my case lime green and black).

Back design
The back design of both the brief and trunk is well-proportioned and covers the entire area of your buttocks. Most men, myself included, find it extremely important that they don’t have pull their underwear out from between the buttocks all day long. The 2eros Icon 2 briefs and trunk stayed put all day long and didn’t reveal any embarrassing crack either.

With respect to the brief style, you need to be aware that it has been fitted with elastics to the end of each leg opening. To me these felt a little tight and could have used a little more stretch. I didn’t experience this issue with the trunk style.

Waistband

The 2eros Icon 2 styles is equipped with a thick 1,8” waistband with a raised rubber printed logo and a prominently featured ‘OO’ symbol. The waistband has a product information patch stitched on the inside rear of the briefs. However, the stitching is done so that you won’t notice it at all.

Fabric quality
The fabric is a very soft modal blend consisting of 50 % modal, 45 % cotton, and 5 % Elastane. Modal-based fabrics are a favorite of mine because they feel extremely soft and light against your skin. The fabric blend is one of the key features of the Icon 2 collection.

Color

Out of the black trunk and the lime green briefs, the lime green color is my absolute favorite. The bright shade of green is highly fashionable right now. Generally, bright colors are very popular this spring, and a lime green pair of briefs will have you looking stylish in locker rooms as well as bedrooms.

Fit
Overall, both the Icon 2 styles fit like a glove. I wore a US size M for a 32″ waist, and I don’t see any need to size up or down.

Price
The U03•07 Icon 2 trunk is priced at $34,95 and the U02•07 brief will set you back $32.95. This means that 2eros is a high-end brand, but the premium price of the products is positively outweighed by the quality and design.

Both styles can be purchased at 2eros own web shop.

Tribe Trunk Brief Review in Minty Geometric

In my last post, I wrote on Tribe’s  short boxer in the Minty Geometric pattern.  Tribe also makes their Minty Geometric pattern in a trunk brief.  The cut of the trunk brief is a bit wider to look more like a short but with the support of a brief while giving it a masculine brief look for all body types. From my last post, you know that I find the Minty Geometric pattern very nice and out of the ordinary – so the Minty Geometric is a winner in my book.  For the cut, I found the pouch to be quite comfortable and supportive.  The trunk brief would be good for wearing when you play sports or exercise.  What I especially like about the trunk brief is that there is full coverage for you butt – no wedgies, ;-D
Again an all around great brief – both in style and comfort.  If the minty geometric isn’t your style, you can find the trunk brief in 11 different patterns.

You can see my other reviews of Tribe to find out more about some of their designs.
If you live near Atlanta, GA, you can now find Tribe at The Poster Hut.  The Poster Hut only sells in store for now but have talked about eventually going online. I’ll let you know when they launch an online store.
