Equmen Precision Sock Review
As the CEO of a small non-profit, I’m constantly wearing business suits – and with that, dress socks. When I first received my pair of Equmen Precision Socks, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Are these going to be for sport, dress, casual, traveling, or what?? The answer to all of these questions was an astounding, YES!
Equmen, who’ve I’ve previously reviewed and love, have recently come out with their line of socks utilizing their amazing helix-mapping technology. I originally feared that a pair of compression socks would feel like old-man support hose – boy, was I wrong!
The socks are knee-highs, which are taller than I typically wear, in order to provide maximum circulation. While these are taller than typically wear, I found these to be incredibly comfortable. I wore these socks as both dress socks, but also for sport.
As dress socks, I found these socks really enhanced the circulation in my legs. I often sit in long meetings and my legs begin
to get achy and restless. Surprisingly, I didn’t have any of that with these socks. The socks are a close fit on your calves, but are a bit more relaxed (and cushioned) on your feet. While they’re a close fit on your calves, it’s a comfortable, even feeling which creates the increased blood flow in your legs. The socks do have ribbing along the arch of the foot which did help with overall support and comfort – very similar to some of my sports socks.
While you’re not going to win any fashion awards with these socks, nobody’s going to call the fashion police either. Available in standard black (what I tried) or grey, they’re fairly fashion neutral. Perhaps as these socks take off, they’ll be able to add a bit more flair and style to the look.
For sport, I was equally in love with these socks. As a skier, I often wear sports socks to aid in leg fatigue, moisture wicking, temperature control – as well as odor control. The Equmen Precision Socks performed fantastically in each of these areas. Combined with my Equmen underwear and undershirt, I was a happy camper- I mean skier.
Priced at $29.99 USD, that’s a bit more than I’d typically pay for a pair of socks. When you account for the type of sock you’re purchasing and the benefits you’ll receive, they’re easily worth the price.

Few Extra Pounds? Spanx for Men on CNBC
SPANX for MEN was recently highlighted on CNBC. What is Spanx for Men? Basically, it’s shapewear for men. You may recall previous posts on Equmen, RIPT, and Sculptees – all which help hide those few extra pounds. Some of these brands even help with better posture, resulting in less back pain (worked for me).

Equmen Long Trunks Review – big hit!

In previous posts, I wrote accolades about the Equmen Core Point undershirt and the Equmen Trunks. Today, I’ve been fortunate enough to try the long trunk. Before I get on with the review, I really must say that one of the things I like best about Equmen is that their products are incredible for athletes but they’re also fantastic for the average “Joe” who just needs support!
The Equmen underwear also comes in a brief, trunk and long trunk. I’ve added these to my personal favorites list.

Sculptees – The Body Sculpting Wonder!
I’ve recently had the pleasure of
trying the Scultptees Slim, T-Slim, and Pex. Wonderful would be an
understatement.
designed to help sculpt your physique. The Slim has a ribbed knit
design that runs from top to bottom, comfortably slimming your
mid-section. Because of the design, I didn’t feel any seems – which
made for comfortable wearing. The Slim is a compression tanktop, but
it didn’t compress to the point where I was uncomfortable. I wore
the Slim under a fitted t-shirt all day and was really quite
comfortable. The Slim did a fantastic job of fading my Thanksgiving
Day sins.
body sculpting mesh t-shirt. I really liked how the T-Slim fit,
performed and looked! The shirt looks really small when you first
pull it out of the package, but it has wonderful stretch. The tight
(but not overly tight) t-shirt sculpts your body, giving a more
muscular look. I found the shirt enhanced my pecs and biceps. The
material is a lightweight mesh that breaths well and wicked away
sweat while I worked out. The T-Slim is $78 but worth the price. Of
the three styles, this was my favorite.
to hug your waist, but not your pecs. The fit is similar to the
T-Slim except that the top of the shirt (pecs) doesn’t have the
compression. This is really for when you just want to control your
waistline and aren’t concerned about your pecs. Similar to the
T-Slim, it is also a ribbed knit nylon material. I also found this
shirt to be comfortable and did as described – slimmed my waist.
At $58 is the same price as the T-Slim – you just need to decide if
you want full compression or just on your waist.
All in all, I really liked all threestyles. My favorite is the T-Slim – really liked how it looked on
me and felt. I would easily wear any of these 3 under a dress shirt
for work or out for fun. Prices are similar to the RIPT and Equmen.
The Equmen gave me a tad better back support but I liked how the
Sculptees T-Slim looked on my better. The choice is yours, you won’t
be disappointed with any of the three styles.
want to look good after all the holiday treats!
through Freshpair (free shipping) – both sell for $58 for the Slim
and Pex or $78 for the T-Slim.

Equmen Boxer Briefs – you won’t be disappointed!

In a another post, I wrote accoladesabout the Equmen Core Point undershirt. I’m about to do the same for
their trunk. The trunk comes a higher than usual price of $58 a pair
but are well worth it.
Point undershirt, the trunks were just as soft, comfortable and
supportive as the shirt. The trunk had a snug fit – not to be
confused with a tight fit. One of the problems I often find with
trunks (boxer briefs) is the legs riding up throughout the day. With
the Equmen trunk, I didn’t have that problem at all. The legs stayed
just were they should. The engineering behind the trunks is just as
effective as it was on the shirt with their helix-mapping support.
My package and rear felt well supported throughout the day.
found the trunks to have a masculine look to them while still
providing some sex appeal – let’s just say my wife liked them too.
Available in white, grey, blue or black, you should find a pair that
matches your taste.
battery of tests. I spent my day wearing them under my business suit
and was very comfortable all day. After work I began my workout.
After lengthy exercising I found the trunks (and shirt) to breath
very well, wicking the moisture from me. After my workout, it was
time to shovel out from the foot of snow we were hit with during the
day. Again, I found both the trunk and shirt to perform very well –
wicking away moisture without making me cold.
or base-layer. At $58 a pair they’re pricy, but worth the money.
You won’t be disappointed. The Equmen underwear also comes in a
brief and as long trunks. I haven’t tried these but if they’re
anything like the trunks, you’ll love them. I’ve added these to my
personal favorites list.
RATING SYSTEM: 1=POOR, 3=AVERAGE, 5=SUPERIOR

They do it all!

Equmen Core Precision Undershirt – do yourself a favor
tried it on, I was concerned it was going to be too tight. After a few minutes,
the shirt felt very comfortable. After moving too many Christmas decorations, I
had strained my back earlier in the week. Throughout the day, I couldn’t help
but notice how Equmen was actually helping my back. The design of the shirt
itself is engineered to reduce back pain and support your core.
order to give optimum performance. Equmen reports that the undershirt was
designed in conjunction with physiotherapists and ergonomic specialists to
improve posture, reduce back pain and provide core support. You can easily tell
from looking at the shirt that it was purposefully engineered to match your
physiology. The high quality fabric (73% polyester, 13% nylon, 14% spandex) is
really a very comfortable blend of materials.
From a comfort perspective, I’ve mentioned that the shirtwas comfortable all day (and this was under a dress shirt). What I haven’t
mentioned is that I typically am skeptical of v-neck shirts as the collar on
often doesn’t come high enough on my neck for my comfort. The Core Precision,
on the other hand fit like a glove and sat on my neck like a typical crew
would.
It’s important to know that after I wore the Core Precisionall day under my business suit, I came home to exercise and then shovel the
foot of snow that was dumped during the day. I found the shirt to be incredible
for wicking away sweat without making me cold. In addition, the helix-mapping
helped my back-straining labor of shoveling heavy snow. I simply couldn’t have
asked for a better shirt.
undershirt, for exercise, as a base-layer, and for its slimming qualities. I
haven’t mentioned this yet, but in high school I was a swimmer with a swimmer
build – college and marriage have added a few pounds. I really appreciated the
slimming power of the shirt. Have a wedding or class reunion you’re going to
attend? Get one of these to help you out!
and white. It comes in a longsleeve, crewneck, and tanktop. Main competitors are the RIPT Fusion ($58) and Sclulptee ($78). RIPT gives you the slimming qualities but not the back support. Sculptees gives you nearly the same qualities as Equmen. Equmen gave me better back support, but Sculptees was better at slimming.
Precision undershirts. If you have back problems, you should probably own a
few. At $99 each they are expensive but oh so worth it. I haven’t tried the longsleeve or
tanktop but can only assume they’re just as awesome as the v-neck. I’ve just added Equmen to my list of favorites.
RATING SYSTEM: 1=POOR, 3=AVERAGE, 5=SUPERIOR

Undershirt Reviews – Day 3
Undershirt Reviews – Day 2
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of trying the RibbedTee classic undershirt – It did exacatly as advertised. I’ll have more on this after my week of reviewing all of them.
Today, I’m trying the Equmen Core Precision undershirt AND the Equmen Precision boxer-brief – first impressions are positive on both. Again, more on these after my trial week.
This week – undershirts
This week, I’ll be trying 4 different brands of undershirts – some designed as strictly undershirts, others with compression or shaping features. Each has their place and each has their strength. Look for full reviews of each next week.
