I've been keeping an eye on Bone Wear for the past year or so and have finally had the opportunity to give them a try. For those of you new to Bone Wear, they tell us they are proud to be South Africa’s first and only international underwear label and that they strive to offer men a unique range of well designed and high quality underwear, gym wear and swim wear made from the best fabrics.
Bone Wear underwear and gym wear is all made from high quality two-way stretch cotton Lycra. All of their swimwear is made from lycra. They have also recently introduced a few new ranges in bijou lycra, a light breathable fabric offering the ultimate in comfort. The jock I am reviewing today is made from this new material.
I loved their new Bijou Lycra as it was soft, flexible, and breathable. The overall comfort of the jock was wonderful. I found the pouch to be quite comfortable and supportive (as a jock should be). What I really like was the placement of the leg straps. Sometimes straps from other jocks hit me wrong on the butt, but the Bone Wear Bijou Jock straps was extremely well-placed and comfortable. As an added bonus, by wearing a jock you also get a little extra boost in your butt to give you more of a bubble-butt look under pants and shorts.
Overall, I was very happy with the Bone Wear Bijou Jock. While its a pretty conservative looking jock, it was extremely comfortable and well made. The jock is suitable for both athletic wear and for daily wear. At R195 (aprx $24 USD) they're what ‘d expect to pay for a quality jock.
