Jake Joseph Boxer Brief – a Men’s Underwear Review

I’ve recently had the opportunity to try a new designer of men’s underwear to enter this highly competitive  market. Jake tells me they’re committed to quality and comfort; based on my review, they’ve held true to their commitment.  Jake Joseph men’s underwear is a modern approach to classic men’s underwear; taking the classic look of men’s trouser boxers, trunks, briefs and boxer briefs, Jake Joseph has been able take the classics and modernize them with material, style and craftsmanship.

Old look, modern twist.  The Jake Joseph boxer brief most certainly provides you a classic, elegant look; the material and style enhancements, are what move this look to modern times.

Made from 95% Bamboo and 5% elastic, this material launches this boxer brief into modern times.  I have to say, Bamboo is one of my favorite materials for men’s underwear. This posh material is incredibly soft and pliable; in addition, and especially for underwear, Bamboo has a natural antibacterial quality.  This ultra-softness and and a light sheen the the material really modernizes this classic in addition to the silver stitched Jake Joseph waistband.

For comfort, the material provides for incredible comfort as well.  The softness of the material feels incredible against the skin and the gentle esasticity provides for all-day comfort and support.  Being a boxer brief, you have full rear coverage (obviously) and the comfort length of a boxer brief for the legs.  I was quite pleased in how the leg bands kept the legs down and didn’t have any problems with riding up during the day.

For the pouch, the material was equally comfortable here.  Soft and supportive made for all-day comfort.  The pouch is a relatively standard pouch, but the softness and elasticity makes this comfortable for any sized guy.

Quality is well noted here.  An excellent grade of Bamboo and quality stitching were evident through the garment. In addition, these Jake Joseph boxer briefs held up well wash after wash – a sign of the quality material and craftsmanship. And to add to the overall quality, though it doesn’t affect the garment, is the packaging; the box these came in give sign to owning a quality garment.

Coming in at $37 USD a pair, these are on the pricier side.  Quality isn’t cheap and, while on the higher side, are worth the investment.  I’ve had literally hundreds of different pairs of underwear.  You can purchase cheap and replace often or spend a bit more in the front and enjoy the quality over time.
